Remove:
- The bundled greatest hits package;
- Remove the live DVD of greatest hits;
- Sell it at the same price
How many does the album move then?
Same amount. The fact that they put a picture of an Asian guy on the back and the package had a sticker on it that said something like "the first album with new lead singer Arnel Pineda" tells me that buyers knew what they were getting. But the excuses are always fun to see! It was all gloom and doom prior to the album and now it's every excuse under the sun ... such as, the package gave the consumer too much for their money, the re-records are what sold it, each Pinoy bought 345.8 copies and all Wal Mart exclusives sell like that.

Can't see it. They aren't going to have all the hype behind this one.

Why is that, because it can't ride the rags to riches story anymore, or is it just the market?
One reason I can see is that they don't seem to get in the digital market.

1) Because this is not going to be a commercial record at all.

I'd be surprised if regardless of what they say that this will be the non-commercial concept record. Maybe something like the Ten Babylon release where everything ties together, but holds up separately also.

I'm assuming that the harder direction will go over a lot better in Europe. That said, Gold is very likely for the U.S., but I think the surprise will come in how well it sells outside of the U.S. and later on when they tour in support of it.

Oh, you mean where people actually still love their classic/melodic rock?! Don't you usually dismiss them as having no taste though?![]()

About 800,000 in the U.S. and probably just enough to go over a million total units worldwide. I know Canada sold over 50,000 and it charted in at least 8 other countries as well. We'll just say 1 million total packages sold, though it's probably more than that.

Deb, I just saw your signature. No offence, but Mr Big has got to be the ugliest fucking band I have ever seen, and I have seen Tom Petty and the heartbreakers too.

Both are definitely good looking, but if they didn't have those soulful pipes they wouldn't be in my top 3 favorites no matter what they looked like, for a good example, i.e., JBJ.
