And just in case you wanted the actual Classic Rock interview, here is a link to the summary:

I'm not saying you've been paid off with cash bro. What I am saying is that you've gotten free tickets, back stages passes and so on. Isn't that right? So what about Valory and Schon's interviews denying Tapegate happened? What's up with that? We both know it happened. So how does it feel to be called a stupid bastard by the band after all of the cheer leading you've done for them?

Respectable, I don't think so.

Toto are a bunch of fags but I will have a listen to Boston in Delp's honor. He was a respectable person that could still to do it and didn't quit on his band.

Was it so god damn necessary to post this again....and again and again....who the f**k cares any longer..Journey has a new lead singer and if u don't like him, don't listen or go to shows, which are 1000x better than those boots which in my opinion do now showcase his great talent..yes I know he is not SP, but then again who is...When will this ever stop?

I don't think you can compare a talentless hack like Cokehead Cobain to a brilliant artist like Billy Corgan. I think it's more than fair to say that the Grunge bands reuined melodic rock, and that with the exception of Alice in Chains, they were generally untalented performers and songwriters. They were different, that's all. The Pumpkins were much different than Toe Jam and Nirvana.

Reason? Worst rock vocalist I've ever heard on a major label release. That includes Justin Hawkins and Geddy Lee.

Agree, given the subtle cut certain change in the vocal stylings on the 07 boots so far.
I've even less doubt than before that the journey sound will stay intact and I was on the soto bandwagon day 1.

Journeyinto2001, you are way off the mark. I was one of a handful of people who never really took to the idea of SA, but I didn't post my opinions (that either Jeremey or Hugo should have taken over for SP) because this board was VERY supportive of SA and I didn't want to be part of such a small minority. I would say 95% of the posts were pro-Augieri, and at least 50% of the posts ripped SP because of the perception that he had screwed the fans over.

Yes, I think it was necessary. I'm tired of hearing Dean's bullshit. The band is now denying the whole issue and I find that completely disrespectful to everyone on this board, including Dean, who brought the issue to light. If anyone should be pissed about the deal, it should be Dean as the band is now calling him a liar in print. I take it you're good with that Granny?

I'm not basing my opinion on the boots Gran, I spent money and went to a show as well. You all are pissed because you know I'm right. Have you noticed Dean doesn't respond to the tough questions? He just ignores them because its obvious of the answer. I'm a big Journey fan Gran and I've been a big Journey fan for a long time. However, I'm not blind to the issues.

I think JSS is a great guy, a great talent and has great stage presents. You've never heard me say anything other than that. I'm just tired of taking shit because I don't think he a good fit for Journey.

Gran,

Fair enough. I'll give any new music from Journey a listen and a honest chance. I personally don't care for the current coverage of the back catalog and I don't care for the way they've handled their issues of late. Its just not a very straight way to operate and not very respectful in my opinion.

L8r,

Aaron

CRL,

Yes, it was only one show. I wished I had enough spare cash these days to spend $300 multiple times to see Journey but I don't. I seen them at Indy in 2006 year along with other folks on this board. I have the utmost respect for Jeff and what he has done and for you as well. He jumped in and gave it his all, I agree. I'd say Augeri did the same and when things went to shit he got the Spanish archer. In my job, if I gave it my all and didn't deliver I'd be cut loose damn near immediately. I know where you're coming from but I think both guys have given their all. In the end, you can't deliver you need to step out of the way in my opinion.

I wasn't in Fla. What's the deal there? Is that a later show that sucked as well?

Best regards,

Aaron

I'm not saying you've been paid off with cash bro. What I am saying is that you've gotten free tickets, back stages passes and so on. Isn't that right? I'm pretty sure I can dig up posts on this board that can substantiate that but I don't have the energy for such petty shit. So tell me that you've received no free tickets or other fringes.

I've heard the boots and seen them live as well. I think you'd feel the same without the payola bro. Oddly enough you had the same opinion as I did until you were "invited" to a show.

Fuck you Aron.

Prove that I have been paid off? You can't. You are as bad as Steveforever or Shania. All bullshit.

I am not being paid off.

No, I wouldn't have the same feeling. Soto improved ten fold and continues to improve. Get the fuck outta here and go ride the Toto train to nowher, you fucking swine.

If u are a Journey fan, then stop re-hashing all this and let it go...It only hurts the band and it's fans....It is time for the future...go listen to another band!

That's kind of Harsh... Why do you people run off everyone that doesn't agree with you?

Good! Me too!

Hell no the didn't suck Aaron. I don't know where you were, but there was postings of vids and great reviews of all the Florida shows. And recently, two Manchester, UK boots showed up, which shows that Jeff has found his niche with the classics. Hell, they brought up some old favorites, like "Opened The Door", "La Do Da", "Line of Fire".

But why I am I telling you this? You only want the Perry era, and that is long gone. Journey is still going strong, in my opinion, and Perry is doing what he wants, which is doing backing vox on tracks. :D

Well it sounds like I need to get the boots from the UK to see how things are going and will do. I'm not much on following others reviews as early reviews were very positive as well and I think they were bullocks. I love the old tracks for sure as they are from my favorite era of Journey. Nope, I don't only want Perry era Journey. To tell you the truth, I really don't care who the hell it is singing as long as they can deliver. I expect to get goose bumps when I hear the classics and I don't. We'll have to see on the new material though as that could change. I do like "Believe in Me" for sure.

And as far as Perry goes, the bastard, he needs to get off his arse, get off the backing vocals bs and sing some ROCK. No pussy AC stuff either! :)

Don't bother trying to get those boots. You have to sign up for another forum and they don't like "Outsiders" very much. I wanted to hear them so that maybe I could change my opinion. But I was refused. :o If you do find them let me know OK? I would love to hear them.

And what forum is this that you speak of? I am a member of three boot forums, and have been treated with respect. Maybe it was you that had a problem with them?

I have both Manchester boots. One has some talking in it because some lady couldn't shutup. The second one was better. :D

Who are the assholes, Aaron? And by the way, we stopped putting up links to Guitars 101. I did that quite a bit, and some boot posters asked me nicely to stop the practice.
