Look at some of these 80s acts playing at a local casino. :D Definitely going to go checkout April Wine (thanks for the heads up on that one, Uno Up) and Honeymoon Suite.

Deb,
Since I moved to this dinky town 5 years ago, Dr. Hook, April Wine, Trooper and Harlequin have all played here. Of the 4, April Wine was always my fav, but have to say in the shows here Trooper was by far the best time (April Wine was waay too loud for the arena - but after a few drinks didn't matter  ) Good thing about small town arenas though - they actually set up tables on the floor and you can dance too! Also got to easily meet and chat with the bands after the shows and get autographed stuff. This town is definitely stuck in the 80's!

Funny, that's what Uno Up said too, saw them last weekend and mentioned it was great but that April Wine was loud. Oh well, always liked April Wine and Honeymoon Suite (they still sound great.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8f3xQBigRHU). Always liked Lee Aaron's voice too....... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVIFVUX6 ... re=related
Used to listen to a lot of Trooper, Prism, Harlequin back in the day. Looks like they have booked Trooper during Stampede week....should be a good time! Will have to keep an eye out on what other acts are added too. :)
