I mean the members of the band have not shown much respect for eachother, so I guess we have all followed suit at one time or another. You can look at it from many point of views, and not everyone is going to agree with eachother, It is the way that we address eachother and our views that is where people need to have the respect.

I am new here and posted something that obviously had been addressed before, some people pointed it out, some people acted like jerks and some just ignored it...I read this board for about three months before I ever posted here. I have to say that I had a feeling of angnst beacuse A. I never claimed to be an expert on the subject of Journey and did not want my head handed to me. B. Yes I perfer to only listen to Steve Perry, and this Journey to me...this one makes some of you crazy..C. I do not consider myself a loon. D. I dont' care for AP in the band, but as a person I am sure he is very nice....I think Neal is using him and when it does not work out he will be on to someone else.

These are my views and I like talking to other people about them...but I don't have to swear or degrade people. I like to think amongst the BS that goes on here there are people who want to have real discussions.

So consdiering my status is Still Green, I will shut up now :?

Dude, either go to the basket/net hard or sit the fuck out. This isn't Romper room. Stop complaining and bitching and throw down with someone.

As for your dream of real discussions....can you point one out in the front page? Go to BT and talk about Arnel's choice of shampoo or Neal's 5th wife, or Friga's choice of lacquer on his piano.

Wasn't being mean, but just pointing out this is a rock n roll board, not some church group study. Just man up and stop being so thinned skin.

I think your early posts have been solid actually.

You're so cute. Does anyone read my posts? I thought not. If you did, B, you would know my favorite period of Journey that I listen to is the Departure/Infinity period with Perry.

Hey, wait, maybe Arnel can remake those.   j/k

OMG...none of this shit was supposed to happen. They weren't supposed to tour...they didn't have Deano's permission.
"They will never produce another Album" they just did and it went platinum while you all debated. It sold over a million discs.

This place is getting close to irrelevant, mostly due to the degree of assholiness around here.

This board has been around a long time. Just because it doesn't suck the band's dick doesn't make it irrelevant.

The, band is playing the same the places it played in the past. The 2006 tour was just as big as last year's, actually it ranked higher on Billboard's list for the 2006 tour.

Steve Augeri also had an A/C hit just like Arnel did.
S.A. didn't have a three disc set with 10 new songs and 12 re-records on it, along with a DVD Selling for 11.99.
He had one disc costing 16.99. Considering the facts, Arrival did just pretty well.
You do understand that one million people have not bought Revelation, right? You get that each package counts as two discs right.
I'm Just showing you that the band hasn't just popped back onto the scene all of a sudden.
Did Arnel bring in a new fan base? Yes.
Will these people buy the back catalog, like Augeri and JSS fans did, probably not because they are more a fan of the singer rather than the band.
So the situations become a wash.

What's great about this place is we have the right to like Arnel or not or Perry or not or whomever.
For a lot of us Journey didn't start in 2007, it began a long time ago. For some the trip ended in 1998, others it ended in 2006 and for others 2007.
Every year one thing is constant though. Neal promises to rock harder, but never does and Steve Perry keeps getting paid as the band continues to push the older albums by not changing up their setlist.

I want to see what the new album brings and what Arnel can contribute.
Looking at Revelation, Perry, Augeri and even Jeremey Hunsicker all got song writing credits. Even Fleishman and Ross Valory's ex wife Diane get credits. But no Arnel.
I'm waiting to see what AP brings to the table on the next album. Can he write? Can he create a melody?
That's what I want to see. Or are we going is going to have the same old song and dance, 5 ballads , 4 pop songs and one rocker?
Is Arnel going to be the hired hand, called in when they're ready to record, with no input whatsoever or is he going to be a contributor?

Does this make me a hater? I don't know and I don't care. And that's what I love about this place. Here I have the right to be either as long as I keep it civil.

All loons are welcomed here, regardless of who is the band's current flavor of the month.
You can't really find that on any of the other Journey related sights besides here or JourneyrockUK.

ONE LAST THING. I think Arnel is a fantastic singer and probably a wonderful human being, but I'm obviously not going to buy an album for those reasons alone.

"Working On A Dream,” which was one of only four songs played from the new album, along with a campy "Outlaw Pete,” moody "The Wrestler” and tender "Kingdom Of Days,” which was dedicated to Springsteen's wife Patti Scialfa, who was absent due to injuries sustained when she recently fell off a horse that, he joked, "she borrowed from Madonna.”

What do you think Dean, cover-up or no? Either way, I'd love to hear Kingdom of Days live, that's one of my faves off WOAD

I personally think she has or is leaving him. Who knows? I would like to believe him but something is fishy. Last week, out here in LA when the news hit us, she was gone, "home with the kids," and now a "horse accident. " Hmm :? They do own over 200 horses and his daughter just won the American Horse Assn Jumping Championship, but ......

Kingdom of Days IMHO, should be pop song of the year. It's beautiful and sang in a higher key in concert. Patti was singing it with him but poof! she is gone.

Ehwmatt, I am downloading the show now. They have every single show available for download on Jungleland. it's a trip to listen to it and see or hear what you missed.

Goddammit, I rethought that line and I was wrong to say that. They (Plokkers) haven't ruined the site at all. I guess to me personally, the cheerleading got on my nerves but hey, that's all fine. Pineda is certainly a stand up guy, so yeah, i admit that was wrong. As for the Plokkers on this site? Hell, I can think of at least ten, but who's counting?

Now the Bobbsey twins should be chiming in about all the Perry loons and how they're ten time worse than the plokkers and Steve Perry wasn't Journey and how he destroyed the group and JSS sucked and wasn't stabbed in the back and S.A. is the the only one who knew he was lip syncing and the band had no clue and Arnel will take the band to heights that it has never attained before and will give the acceptance speech when they go into the HOF because Neal won't invite Perry there and yada, yada, yada, plok, plok plok ,plok.
