SPFIO, I think you might be in the running for Tex's ideal woman. Check the FIT thread.
This is my work out partner. Now that is FIT!!!!

Not bad...in fact this post is the first one you have made here that even starts to have me think you may be a lawyer after all......BUT...you must have to rely on paralegals a lot if you are ..if you had to have some " sweet PMers" help you " figure me out" . LOL! Yes, I enjoy a good debate from time to time but as you should know...making an argument is not necessarily the same thing as setting out to " fight" . I say it only turns into a "fight" if one party decides to perceive it that way and gets overly defensive and their hackles start to raise instead of simply staying on point or in no joking back in return. Oh...and if I was a lawyer I wouldn't rely on hearsay from unknown, uncorroborated sources which are unsubstantiated evidence from perceptions only of motives of criminal intent....like in messages sent.SP Fan in Oregon wrote:Blueskies wrote:I was playing nice...if you are a lawyer like you claim then you should be able to handle someone differing with something you say and be able to debate it better without getting bent by a "tone" you perceive in writing....a lawyer would have much thicker skin then what you are showing. This is a public message board...if you don't want anyones 2 cents on anything you say then maybe you shouldn't post it. You said you lost a lot of working time..thats sure not something that says you are managing well. And once again...this is NOT "Perryland" ...this is MelodicRock.com! Geesh!SP Fan in Oregon wrote:Blueskies wrote:SP Fan in Oregon wrote:Blueskies wrote:SP Fan in Oregon wrote:portland wrote:
And that concerns me!!
There are much more important things going on in the world to be concerned about.
Perryland is this entire thread. Everyone of us are playing in Perryland.![]()
Perry is the topic that draws us together so we can talk about art work and to entertain ourselves when we
are sitting alone in our house with nothing better to do. I miss finalfight too. He was fun.
I'm headed out into the sunshine now and then off to the gym. Hope you all have a nice day in Perryland.Reality check time!
YOU may be in " Perryland" but I'm not. Perry did not bring me to this forum...actually, Soto did. After a long time not even thinking about Journey much other then spinning a CD once in awhile..I heard they would be in Tampa...had not been to a concert in awhile so I got tickets....thought Augeri was still singing...didn't know he wasn't until the concert. I had never heard of JSS before then so after that concert I looked up info to find out more about him...what musically he had done before. I looked up the Journey site first....bunch of people lighting candles and talking in prayer circles for Augeri at the time.uh...no thanks. So, then I found this site....although there were a lot of freakaziods posting here as well ( and you know who you are!
![]()
) at least there was debate and discussion going on about music...and all the info was here to be found.
Now with that said...this is MR....a site for melodic rock....this is a board in the forums dedicated to Journey, yes....but it's the first one on the list and became a catch all....everything under the sun has been posted here and discussed....not only Journey topics and certainly not only Perry topics....
so this is NOT " Perryland" and a simple picture of him posted to start a thread does not make it "Perryland" either. How much discussion can go on over a picture? thats why threads go off into other topics of discussion like artists talking about their work. Perry didn't make us do it!![]()
So heres the reality check:
This is not " Perryland" this is MelodicRock...
.we are not all in your PerryfantasyLand with you, OK? So quit trying to take us there.![]()

The tone of this post directed at me is quite nasty and frankly I don't deserve it. On page five I posted in part , " . . . but I have to work tomorrow to support my habit of frequent trips to Perryland."
That statement has caused a lot of you to jump to some conclusions that are completely and totally erroneous. I don't need a reality check. MR is Perryland for me and something else for you and something else for others. The only reason I come here is to read things about Perry and Journey and to enjoy a laugh or two from nice people who post here. For every hour I spend reading threads on MR is taking away from time I could be working on client matters and billing for those hours. So, yeah, it costs me a lot of lost working hours to be reading and posting on MR. When I wrote I have to work tomorrow, it is because working affords me enough income that I have the leisure of spending time on MR. That was all that was meant by that.No...you said we were ALL in "Perryland" and I differed with your opinion on where I am.
![]()
Hey...if your Perry addiction is costing you lost working hours...time you could and should be working on client matters....then maybe thats something you better check into, perhaps? ...seriously..for your own good.
Blueskies, I think I can manage my private practice on my own without your two cents worth. This thread was 90% about Perry and the color of his clothes in the picture. If you don't want to play nice in Perryland, then maybe you would be a happier poster on a different thread.![]()
p.s. Have you ever thought about any of your clients possibly seeing you posting here?...you might not want them reading your posts...just sayin'.![]()
Blueskies. I got you figured out with the help of a few sweet PMers..... You are clearly a lawyer in the making. Before I became a lawyer I liked to pick fights with any one that would engage me. It was a deep seeded need to engage my brain at a high level of functioning. So after 7 years of education, over $100,000.00 in school loans, and years of hard work, I became a lawyer and have been for over 13 years. I get to argue with people everyday and get paid to do it. I'm a professional arguer and my reputation as a lawyer is that I NEVER lose, which is because it is true. So, girl, instead of spending all your time sparing with real lawyers on MR, get off your ass and go to law school where you can develop your arguments to be more productive for you. Then come back here to MR and you will find that when you argue for a living it is the very last thing you want to do when you are trying to relax and have some fun with other people who share a common interest. Goodluck.![]()
See?...Now THIS ^ is a lawyer like post!![]()
..thanks for the compliment, but I don't want to be a lawyer...I'm just an artist but I like it just fine.
besides...I'm a terrible typist!
![]()
p.s. I might add that you do lose debates on MR quite often....and if arguing is the last thing you want to do here on MR then why do you participate in arguing? I am not the first you have argued with on here....girl.![]()
I'm not trying to win and I didn't know you were the self-appointed scorekeeper for MR debates. One more thing. You wrote: "if I was a lawyer I wouldn't rely on hearsay from unknown, uncorroborated sources which are unsubstantiated evidence" but the fact is that if you WERE a lawyer you would know that is the best kind of information and many times overlooked by other less saavy lawyers.

I'm already drinking... I'm headed out now for some more drinking with friends so getting to the 10 pages is going to be someone else's responsibility. I've done my part.
Maybe Blueskies can practice making more arguments. That ought to b e good for a few more pages.
ok...lets forget any contributions you may have made to the thread and not presume your intent. I'm good with that!Marabelle wrote:wow...9 pages already. I think my name was mentioned 4 or 5 pages ago. I bowed out cause I quite frankly don't like to debate, argue, confront, gripe....

Oh yes you do. You, like a few others around here, are a few credits short of a diploma. Quit boring us with your unimpressive lawyer stories. Your boss called and he needs something typed up. Hop to it, bitch.

It started off well, with a link to what Portland believed to be a new photo of SP. The photo turned out to be from last November and the negative comments made by the guy who got the photo were not received well. Discussion ensued over violation of privacy, as SP had asked him not to take the photo in the first place and the guy also posted what he claimed to be parts of SP's private conversation.
Further discussion centred on his comments of SP's outfit, which led to pictures of SP all dressed up. JasonD commented on the actual colour scheme of his outfit, in that it was not actually black and the thread moved into discussions of art.
Problems ensued when SPFaninOregon referred to "trips to Perryland". She clarified that she meant "Perryland is this entire thread" on page 8, but somehow Blueskies missed the word "thread" as opposed to "forum" and felt the need to post a "reality check". Needless to say it got personal, but it seems to have petered out after SJ referred to SPFO as "Bitch" and it moved on to comments about the thread being 10 pages long.
Hopefully it ends at 10, as it went downhill after people started drooling over pictures of the top of SP's head. By the way, congratulations to Portland for starting a 10 pager!

I guess you should have been at Journey's last live show tour in my city (ROR-1987) when it all came crashing down that crystal clear road for me when all of the sudden after i believe it was Dead or Alive or Keep on Running, when Journey all stopped playing all walked to the front of the stage holding hands. They took the MIC individually and said "Everybody, this tour is near the end and we would like to do two things tonight". "First, we have all decided that we can't give any more of ourselves to JOURNEY and we cannot do any more in a creative point and as far as reaching that climax or creative drive that we set out to do, we did just that" "Were disbanding and going our own ways to live our lives as you all do and do what we want individually". "And second, we would like to say thank you for supporting us through the years". I remember feeling betrayed and so sad for years after. You see, SP was my one and only idol back then and i followed his career from the beginning. I think till the day i die, i'll never experience a singer or frontman if you will, that appears heading to Rod Sterling Twilight Zone. My mom who also sang professionally to a certain extent felt the same way and she also was crushed to the point of disbelief. A SP loon, you bet, but a SP common sense Loon, the concert did it for me. SP wasn't bullshitting that night when he said he was done and did not know when the bug would hit him.
