Like it or not, her show is one of the biggest opinion leaders in the US. Any book that she features goes instantly on the bestseller lists.

I agree. She has the "midas touch".

Then add into the mix the fans of this current line up.

Did you guys also noticed that Revelation is on the third slot? One slot ahead of Foreigner album. :D

I'm very happy for the band. :D

Revelation is enjoying a second wind. It used to be no longer available on Walmart's website so it looks like they have started producing more copies to meet demand. Very cool. I am really rooting for the band and it will be amazing if this goes down in the history books as one of the greatest resurgences of a rock band ever. Yeah, I know....a lot is wishful thinking but it makes for great dreams. I just don't see how anyone can not be impressed right now. While some might not like the current lineup, their progress can't be denied. They do fucking rock! :D

Explain please. Is that so your band can play some Revelation songs, since you participated in writing?

No....Since I am a co-writer on "Never Walk Away," I have to release a synch license to allow broadcast and video reproduction of that song. I was told a couple of weeks ago that it would be to me "by the end of the week..."

Here I stand, so patiently....

I agree with Chubby, very happy for the band. I think they're having a great resurgence, and having said that, someone will come in here and tell me how delusional I am that they are as big as their heyday. Not what I'm saying, but they are having popularity again and great success for a 30-something-year-old band, and a band this good musicianshipwise still going strong and putting out good music deserves it.

Man, you'd better give them guys a call. I was sick the first week of October so I couldn't leave the house to go to Wal*Mart. I ordered my copy online on October 3rd & I received it yesterday. If you ordered yours on September 15th something is definitely wrong.

I got my KISS Sonic Boom yesterday and that was shipped after the Journey DVD. The tracking info says the Journey DVD is still en route.

Wow – I actually have a good Walmart employee story! We have no Walmart in my town, closest is about 40 minutes away. I had checked there on release day and the woman first looked at me like I had horns growing out of my head, then insisted that they wouldn’t have it until at least a month later than the ‘States  . I knew she was full of it, so I called today. Got a very nice fellow on the phone who was happy to check for me. He came back, said they had it and was also very excited to tell me it was only 10.00! :D They only have 5 in stock so I asked him to hold one until tomorrow. He said they’re not allowed to hold merchandise overnight, but told me “I’m in my 40’s too (not sure how he knew I was  ) and I was a big Journey fan, so I understand – no problem!”. Now – I could be jumping the gun – let’s see if it’s actually there when I go to pick it up tomorrow.

I got the set today. On disc 2 now and so far it's a great show. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Lots of Revelation tracks.

just finished watching the full dvd. Not sure what the whiners were watching, but I was blown away. A great live show. It kicked ass. No complaints other than Cain's lack of expression and Ross's lack of camera time.
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

That's why you never pre-order. It doesn't mean you get it early (or even remotely on time). And with this DVD being a release that won't sell at a crazy rate, you're not in danger of not getting one if you go to the store and try to buy it on release day.

I was poundin some beers the other night with my buddy who I just recently found out is HUGE into Journey and we A-B'd it with 01. The verdict was unanimous: 01. The production on this disc just leaves a lot to be desired, even if you totally dig Arnel's performance... which I don't here.

I'd have no problem buying this thing if the production value were even close to 2001. It is not. And anyone that thinks it is just guzzles the kool-aid without any forethought. Looked like a fun concert though. I hope they turn their attention to producing a really good quality album next. Because the Arnel story is now played out, and it's time to produce something memorable, and stop relying on yesterday's hits to pay your way.

Yeah, I mean I enjoyed drinkin and watchin it, but as a concert experience, it leaves something to be desired. 01 is a reasonably well-produced DVD, it sounds and looks good, but it's nothing INCREDIBLE (it is pretty old, after all). We aren't even comparing Manila to true industry benchmark concert DVDs like Eagles Farewell I or Rush R30. If we were, it'd be downright laughable. No one should be able to say that the production on this DVD is solid. It doesn't take an audiophile (I'm not) to hear that.
