The CD "giveaway" upon entrance to the show(included in ticket price), is still being dealt with.

I have heard this same story from TWO completely different people in two different completely areas of the business.

Question: Do you all want a marathon show, a.k.a. Springsteen? or a warmup band?

While the hard-core Journey fans will think this is great, here are some reasons why this may fail. First, the concerts would have to be on the weekends because most of the fans have to work the next day. Second, some fans might not be able to last 4 hours at any concert and have to leave. Third, some Journey fans only want to hear the classics and not the obscure material. Finally, younger children might not be able to handle a 4 hour concert and their parents would have to take them home.

I don't think I would be able to last 4 hours at a rock concert unless the material was from the Rolling Stones, U2, or Van Halen with David Lee Roth.

JourneyTroll:

They said 3:30 - 4 hour...so round that down to 3...and I bet that is only some nights (like last year more nights than not were closer or under 2 hours than the rare long show we hear so much about). Also, they talked about small theatres - so that should weed out a lot of casual fans.

While I like Kouhetek, Of a Lifetime, On a Saturday Night and To Play Some Music - I really don't want to hear a lot of the first three albums, however, playing some of the Infinity/Evolution/Departure era rarities could actually help to bring out some older non-Cain fans...

Bottom line - I can't complain about this idea, because it beats a GH hits show...know what I'm talkin about?

Weekend shows without any of the material from the first three albums might work.
