Whatever Joe.

You think I'm Joe? I'm not. I haven't seen him on this message board for months. I'm honestly not him, and I do not create petitions to try to get people banned. I didn't even know you had an AOL account.

I did meet Joe briefly at the Journey Gilford concert back in August 2002.

Does he post at RVR's anymore? Where is Joe?

Dave, I don't think The Killers and Duran Duran sound alike at all. Duran Duran is ok, but they aren't even one of my top five bands.

No I don't.
Once again, as previously stated, Journey's album titles never had a precedent for being tough sounding. The closest macho sounding title was Escape and that hardly sounds tough at all.
I don't know why the term Generations has such a wimpy connotation for you Troll, but I assure you such a connotation is subjective and not shared by everyone. Personally, when I hear the term, "Generations", I hear a title perfectly congruous and in-synch with other one-word titles of albums prior.

"Frontiers",
"Departure",
"Infinity",
"Evolution",
"Arrival"
"Escape",
and now, "Generations".

Works for me.

"Generations" makes perfectly good sense. Especially within the context they are using it. If you have read any part of the interviews Neal Schon has given regarding Journey in 2005 and the style in which they want to present their music (i.e. from 30 years ago to present) - "Generations" is a perfect fit.

Journey on!

Hi everyone. I hope you had a great weekend. I did.

I agree that not everyone will share my distain for the wimpy sounding Journey album title, Generations. Just because this album title is one word, doesn't mean it should be compared to the other one word titles. Generations sounds like a television mini-series to me and wimpy.

Sorry Liz. Generations is a horrible title name and will not get airplay. If Neal is comparing 30 years to an album title, then the title should be Generation and not Generations.

Generations might be the wimpiest name for a album title in rock history.

What exactly is so wimpy about it, Troll?
What are you hearing that I am not?
Seriously. I'd really like to know.
What, for you, sets it apart from the other one word titles of albums come before?
While Generations can be interpreted as implying a sense of "family" or "heritage", which are admittedly wimpy ideals for a rock album, the word's definiton is not exclusive to those interpretations.
I think it is a great title with an epic vibe to it with possible sci-fi implications, ala Frontiers.

Well, at least it doesn't have a car named after it.

Does anyone know which record company will be releasing "Generations" in the United States? This new Journey album might be the 21st century Escape, Infinity, or Frontiers.

"Generations" might produce 3 or 4 classic singles.
