Go ahead Barb, take Mr. Noble out behind the woodshed on this one!

Sorry guys, I will discuss Journey performances on here be they good or bad.

Besides, I wasn't "rehasing" anything.
The 2001 CBS performance was a new one for me.
Hadn't heard it until this past week when a Journey fan kindly sent it my way.

Why am I not allowed to discuss it with other fans?
Because you say so?

There are plenty of posts on here discussing the new album.
If this does not satiate your apetite for "new topics" then may I kindly recomend you go start one of your own.

That's interesting considering that not even two posts ago you attempted to stifle my discussion in this thread.

And I had no dilusions that it would stop you from making any comment you want or Troll saying anything it wants. The Troll saying I should not comment on a topic at all is a little different than pointing out the repetitive nature of the constant complaints on this board and elsewhere.

It's pretty clear after all these years that people are going to complain, but can't people at least complain about something more timely? If you could pull up VH1 message boards or this message board from 2001 or 2002 or 2003, it would be all the same complaints. Aren't people tired of saying the same thing over and over again? Can you say repetitive?

I don't see why you have now suddenly made it ur personal cause to deter fans from discussing Journey's live performances.

LAWoman wrote:If you could pull up VH1 message boards

The VH1 boards are closed and have been for years.

LAWoman wrote:or this message board from 2001 or 2002

That's impossible. Andrew erased the history of this board after he closed it down last year. There are no existing posts on the subject of the CBS broadcast which I am currently discussing.

LAWoman wrote:Aren't people tired of saying the same thing over and over again?

As I said before, the CBS broadcast is entiriely new to me. I just recently acquired it and wanted to hear feedback from other fans on the subject. There are no existing posts on the topic.
Not here, not VH1 and not on BT.
A-ha.

LAWoman wrote:Can you say repetitive

Can you say "illiterate"?
What part of me never having seen or heard the CBS show until now don't you understand?

While true, I may be a Journey fan that likes to bitch, at least I am not a Journey fan that comes here just to bitch about how much the fans bitch.
Now talk about Journey or get the hell out!

Nice try Barbara wearing the Journey jersey; however, I stated YOU aren't going to tell others to stop posting on this board because You don't see the relevance of a topic.

You deliberately called me an "it". Thank you for being so hateful. Just remember that I never had to get drunk at a Journey concert like you did at Warfield in 2003. I never whimpered on CJ's Cooler board about someone posting a picture of me. Remember that? I do.

Nice try, Trollie, but I'm not biting. You must have me confused with someone else because it's the music that alters one's mood so no need for alcohol at a show! But thanks for your concern, although wouldn't it be nice to live at least in the current year? Sorry you don't want to be called an "it", but what is picture in your sig? That's not an "it"?

I didn't see it. I watch GMA instead of CBS. I did however see the Free Per View and I thought he sounded like a bad Perry imitation on that, so I don't see how he could have sounded good in an early morning live performance. It seems to me that throughout this faux Journey experiment I've been hearing excuses and jusitifications for his poor performances. These have been from his own fans too, not the Perry fans.

If you didn't see the morning show performance (which is the topic of this thread) then do shut the fuck up.

All you did is use this post as an exuse to bash Steve Augeri (again).
What has the guy done to you?
Run over your dog or something?

Besides, Steve sounds flawless on the Free per view (which later became the 2001 dvd).
I have lent it out to countless friends and they are always floored by the vocals on the dvd.

Compare and Choose

Postby Eric » Tue May 10, 2005 3:49 am

ohsherrie,

When you say Perry impersonator.......are you comparing Augeri Live to Perry in Studio?

Want the best comparison? Listen to some Live Journey tunes from Perry's FTLOSM tour and then listen to some Live Augeri-Led Journey. You'll find both subpar overall and very inconsistent from night to night....

Nothing or Nobody can compare to Perry in his Prime....but that is not the CHOICE that Journey has.....

LAwoman was drunk before, during, and after the Warfield concert in 2003. I read about her in the concert review section. Also, I have seen her picture wearing the Journey jersey and found out she cried to CJ on Cooler about me having access to the picture.

who cares. It speaks volumes that all you have time to do is to try to drag anybody you can down to such a level, in any way you can. She's not the one in this thread who is acting like some kinda addict who needs a fix to keep their 'life' moving in what they assume in a 'forward' direction.

You are so sad, Trollie. Your memory is feeble as well. You seemed so disappointed when the Cooler crowd pointed out that you were busying yourself posting pictures and e-mailing pictures that were an entirely different person--but now that's your moment in the sun?

When will you ever get it through your head that the people who post in the internet are not the ones of interest here? Nobody cares what you know or think you know about Christopher or me or anyone else. About 10 people have any idea what you are talking about. I will call you "it" since you raised the issue. You call yourself a troll and have a sort of monster-looking thing for your sig. You seem to think it is ok to make fun of someone's heart condition. You revel in ugliness. You clearly are an it. You are welcome.

Hi Eric,

I wasn't comparing that performance to any particular one of Steve's, it was just my general feeling about what I heard. I've got CDs and videos of lots of Steve's concerts from Infinity to FTLOSM. He wasn't always consistent, but no rock singer is night after night on tour. Shows that were legally taped however, like Houston, ROR Doc, and F&B were nearly flawless. I guess I expected that Free per View to measure up to those and it just didn't. It didn't measure up to the name Journey, and they had the choice of using a different name.

Thank you Barbara for demonstrating your hateful side. You called me an "it" with malice and your comment about me had nothing to do with my avatar. Instead, you are the one that tried to silence another poster on this message board. Didn't work with that person, and it won't work with me.

That picture of you wearing the Journey jersey besides the other lady in pink was you. You did snivel on CJ's Cooler board how I was invading your privacy, yet the picture came off of a public website. Face it, you were the one wearing the Journey jersey.

Just because I mentioned Chrissy Payne's heart condition doesn't mean I am making fun of his situation. Instead, I read about his condition on another message board and wish him a full recovery.

Newsflash!

The sound on free-per-view (aka the 2001 dvd) was produced by Kevin Shirley.
Overdubs were used (similar to the GH Live Cd) to fix any noticeable flaws on the part of any of band member (be it Neal, Jon, Ross, Deen, or Steve). This is noticeable during La Raza Del Sol and Higher Place when Steve pulls the microphone away and there isn't any discernible drop in audio. No sound loss. None. While mics have good range, even
when you pull away it is noticeable at least in volume.

Augeri's vocals are impecable for that show and even if he was "off" that night, post production would have rendered that absolutely unnoticeable.

So as usual, Oh Sherrie, is lying.

liar, liar, liar...etc

Hi Freddie,

Can you list here the AOL information that states I'm Joe Reardon? I think "it's" a riot, that you think I am him. I did enjoy making fun of you on VH1 though.

I'm happy though, Freddie, so you theory is wrong as usual.

Well, Yak doesn't act like Fred or talk like Fred, and I doubt very much that he is Fred.

You act like Joe, you talk like Joe, your posts even smell like Joe.

So, you can say you are not Joe all you want but the truth is that it doesn't matter. Considering how you act, talk, and smell, there is no reason why people shouldn't treat you just like they would treat Joe.

But Yak stated he was Fred and if he isn't that makes him a liar. I am stating I am not Joe, which makes me honest.

I appreciate the compliment that you admire my posts and even compare them to Joe's, but I am not him. My posts here and in other locations are fantastic, and I enjoy being sincere about Journey and some of their fans.

You are correct that people should admire me for my posting skills. Just because I wouldn't give almost anyone here the time of day, doesn't mean that I am not wonderful.

No, you asked if he was Fred and he said sarcastically that he was "Fred". The quotes he used are what specifically led me to believe he was being sarcastic.

Among other stuff, Rockn apologized to Fred as a response to posts from Noble Cause and/or Yak. There was a bit of "scrambling" to explain after that........

Dave, now you are an "expert" on interpreting quotation marks in text?

I have heard that YAK is either Chrissy Payne, Fred, or the guy from NY with the disabled son. Since YAK stated he is Fred, he either is or he is lying.

Haven't you heard, silly boy; I am "Fred." That's YAK's quote. If a man uses the term silly boy, then he must be effeminite. Maybe he is making reservations for the "quilt." I hope so.

I won't be posting much since I am preparing for an awesome Rolling Stones tour with millions upon millions of fans instead of maybe 150,000 Journey fans. Take care and have fun listening to "Don't Stop Believin'"

Which is a reference to Rock'n Deano accidentally calling him Fred in earlier posts. That had been cleared up, so it is obvious to me that Yak was being sarcastic with you.

Just what do you have to do to "prepare" for the Rolling Stones tour? So far you have said you are going to ONE show. And it is not for quite some time. I have no problem with you 'lying low' for a while...I quite prefer it. But this statement is ridiculous...even for you.

Which is a reference to Rock'n Deano accidentally calling him Fred in earlier posts. That had been cleared up, so it is obvious to me that Yak was being sarcastic with you.

I missed that post. Who cares who YAK is. I'm still not Joe Reardon.

Just what do you have to do to "prepare" for the Rolling Stones tour? So far you have said you are going to ONE show. And it is not for quite some time. I have no problem with you 'lying low' for a while...I quite prefer it. But this statement is ridiculous...even for you.

This means I want to do other things than discuss a HAS-BEEN band like Journey. I will be going to other Stones shows too with their millions upon million of fans worldwide. Maybe Journey can open up for the Stones like they did in 1981. I have a hoagie for them.

So long for now,
