I always forget Remember Me and the songs off of Red13. Guess they don't do it for me. But I do like The Time.

The pre-Perry set and the Gens stuff were the highlight of the show for me, I did see one show that had no Pre-Perry songs.
I also hope they'll whittle down old material and do more and more new stuff, but I would be surprised if they add anything additional from Arrival, I don't see them trying to sell that Sony release on audiences at this point, unfortunately. I do wish they'd add State of Grace back. I don't see them doing Remember Me as they only performed it live in 98 and maybe occasionally if at all in 99 (I remember them doing World Gone Wild and Have a Good Time or Good Time Tonight??).

For me also. I went especially to hear the Pre-Perry stuff, and the songs from Gens. Steve has filled the shoes, so it can only get better from now on.

Here's hoping........Then everybody will have the best of both worlds.

Dave,
The band is hard pressed to include nearly that many 'Generations' tunes now, why would they include that many in subsequent tours?

Unless you're thinking that with time, the audience will have had a chance to listen to their give-away copes and become familiarized with the music?

I do think there would be a familiarity if they keep playing the songs...look at Higher Place! And the band has been playing 5 songs on average. I would just like to see an effort to move the audience forward.

NoMoreTails,
I see your point about the Arrival material. But I don't look at it as selling more Sony material...I think of it as promoting more Augeri-era material, that's all. And Journey could honestly play the whole RED13 EP. It sounds better live than on CD, and I would still love to hear WAFTE. I Can Breathe was the closest thing to 'signature Journey sound' on that CD so I think it would go over well.

I agree with you that they should play more Arrival and Red13, and I certainly wish they would, but I don't think they will. I don't mean selling the album for Sony as much as I mean trying to sell the audience on the material. If they intended to play more Arrival, they would have continued playing more than HP on tours since 2001. I would certainly like to be proven wrong on this.
