I don't agree with everything you said yogi, but I do know it's label, not lable.

Even without Steve, Journey is a good, solid, perfossional, entertaining band.

To me the leadership that is needed has to come from two sources. A better management team. And a lable with some major stroke that will back the band and do everything in their power to get them back to the top.

Back in 1997-1998 with the song 'Remember Me', Journey had the chance to become the next Aerosmith. Their management, and Sony dropped the ball BIG TIME on that one.

They had a GREAT song on a platinum selling CD. It was a classic Infinity/Escape type of Journey song that would of held up and excelled on any Journey album. Millions had this song on a CD and didnt even know it.

They blew it with Remember Me, and then they blew it again with how Arrival was released and marketed. I believe it has NOTHING to do with the players. They all can play. The leadership has to come from management & their record lable.

If a band is broken within itself, no goddamned management can cover up that shit. You can`t get a car into the races if the motor missing.
The current line-up is fucked up.
I believe Neal thinks more and more to what was said in the past:they have a big Harley in the garage but they can`t ride it because Perry has the keys.

So you have a boot of EVERY show, eh? Come on, Dean. Augie himself admits how hard it is to be a singer in Journey, as Perry can attest. The guy had some rough shows, but don't exaggerate the state of Augie's voice or the condition of the band. They are doing fine.

Don't misconstrue the facts. I still think he is a big asshole. However, with regard to singing in front of major audiences, he had the self respect to step down. I do appreciate that.

That's the funniest thing I have read in a long time! Journey with Perry wouldn't even sell out ONE night. You do understand this is 2006, not 1982, don't you?

I take it back. THIS is the funniest thing I have read in a long time! STADIUMS? I live Journey, but even if it was Journey with Perry appearing with Foreigner with Lou Gramm, they still wouldn't sell out a STADIUM.

Don't laugh too hard. Fuck, are you saying current day Journey with Augeri can outdraw Perry fronted Journey? THAT is the funniest shit I have ever heard.

By the way, I am right. Journey would sell out consecutive nights in large cities.

Lou Gramm is fat. Foreigner sucks balls. Journey re-united with SP would far outdraw the recent VH reunion, I guaranfuckintee it.

Only ones I know of are Stones, Bruce, BJ, McCartney and U2. Wouldn't it be nice to add Journey to this list.

Yeah, but too much time has passed. Journey could have been big again if Perry had come back in 1992 or so. Even if they had toured behind TBF, they would not have been selling out stadiums or playing two or three shows in big cities. Perry isn't that big of a deal anymore.

Maybe this is where we disagree.

EVERY single person I run into, whether they ask about my shirt(no, I don't wear a Journey shirt to appease BT), people always say, "Steve Perry is awesome!" I have to say sadly, dude isn't around anylonger.

I respectfully disagree with you on this.

Did Perry ever say he was "stepping down" because he could no longer sing? No. He gave a million other excuses why he could not continue: Toast, bronchitis, getting back with Journey, hip, etc. Thgose were not classy responses, they were lies (If you believe that he was actually stepping down because he could no longer "bring it".)

Journey could only have been a part of that list if Perry had not destroyed what they had built over the years.

Augeri didn't have ONE good night last year, not one. Yet you all glorify this guy because "he carries on the name." Fuck me, dude is embarrassing and quite frankly, he has to look himself in the mirror and ask himself the tough question. Why are you doing this when you can't?
