I've got to agree with you on that, Augeri has his own personal style that he seems to stick to during live gigs, at least at the ones I seen.

What evidence can he bring short of producing a band member here to deny it (and that could happen and some of us would scoff), other than to say like a lot of us have that of the clips of bootlegs of 2 shows (the greek and ontario) out of 50+ dates on the tour don't sound enough alike to be a smoking gun?

If you count the second leg of the tour, it's closer to 80 shows, which makes it even less significant. Possibly, not enough to illicit a response from the band.

Wrong.
Everything I've seen so far from him is 2 shows: Ontario and The Greek. Don't misinterpret what he says he hears on The Beacon DVD because that's a dvd not a cd and to my knowledge he's still only used Ontario and Greek cds. Again 2 shows out of 50-80 played with an audio rip of the vegas dvd also in play as the template for all lipping.

I was more a lurker than a poster myself but my feathers got ruffled a few weeks ago and I decided to come out of hiding! :D

Very nice group in here, despite what you might read otherwise....

well since Dave requested some of us post more, here I am. I for one am excited for this tour. I have never seen DL live before and imagine it is going to be a great show.

BTW asking those of us on BT to post here more by referring to us as the ones who tried to get this board shut down, probably isn't going to elicit a positive response. I lurked here for a long time before getting annoyed enough about the drama to post, as did many others. I told Andrew a month or so back that I was intending to start posting soon, and I hope to continue. Hopefully now most of the personal attacks and the like will die down and this will be a place that Journey fans want to post on, not just read to see who is calling who what name today. :) It doesn't have to be a "love fest" over here, but the attacking just makes the board look negative.

Anyway, hello to all :)

acceber,
it is true that I hope more people come post here. I have heard enough people talk about 'how scary' it is over here. But it really isn't. There have been a few "difficult" people but that happens everywhere.

but I was not referring to everyone in my invite. There were definately some people who signed up here with the sole intent of ganging up on Deano and most likely shutting down the board. And they are all gone now. You were here earlier than the others so I do not think of you that way.

BTers are welcome, but just don't try to turn it into a rah-rah site. No threads on Neal's sunglasses. And no syrupy sigs

Well, I certainly don't want any threads about Neal's sunglasses or Steve's pants or Perry's hair. ;) But I think the more people are on this board, the more diversity it receives, the better the environment...

I agree Dave. There are many Journey boards and many Journey sites that people can visit. This happens to be one where people can talk mostly uncensored. I think that as long as it stays a place where people can visit without feeling attacked that many more will come and it will become a more diverse site with many different views to be offered :)

Not sure if I'm included in that mix or not there Dave..but if so, with all due respect, I'm still here..yet, I don't frequent BT either...and should I find a topic I'm interested in I'll feel free to chime right in. Just for the record though, there was no intent to try and have the board shut down and it's kinda sad that defending Steve is being labeled as "ganging up on Deano." I can speak just as civil as the next person...when treated in the same manner...but freedom of speech got just a tad outta hand...in public and in private.

In all honesty I wish I had found this board before all the mess...some of you folks truly seem like nice people.

And no syrupy sigs

what's considered a syrupy sig?

Well Penny, if you don't visit BT than it won't include you. I admit I did not express myself clear enough. But my true intention was to suggest that more people come here and participate. Some were scared because many times BTers get attacked. And the BT community as a whole has unfortunately been the subject of ridicule. At times it is warranted and at others it is not...just like everything else. Some people just didn't like the environment over here. Just like some here do not like the environment of BT (too fluffy?). But I would love to see more participants.

Gang? "Mr I love Journey but," "Mr I love Steve, and Lydia, but,"

Trust me the gang is laying in the weeds cheering awaiting a show at a venue near them.

"You know what I don't understand ~ Honestly Craig, I was AT THE GREEK! I honestly don't understand everything that ass is claiming. We were on the front row, and I mean FRONT OF THE STAGE. There was NO barrier and we were resting our arms on the stage. Steve was leaning against us when he was shaking hands with the fans, we actually held him up. Neal was playing his guitar with his knees touching us - my point is that we were practically ON the stage, and being so close, we could hardly hear. The sound was being projected WAY behind us, and had we not known the words, we would have had a hard time singing along. The ONLY sound we heard was the guys singing... It was honest, and raw!!! Craig, THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL that Steve did not sing every song at that show. Not only because I LOVE that man, but because my friend and I HEARD THE SOUNDS/SONGS COMING OUT OF HIS MOUTH!!! Whatever, I'll drop it, but it really bothers me. I'm sure you are sick of it all, just know that many of us really appreciate you!"

I am not sure I get the point of your post Pit. Are you still bringing up what most of us have moved on from? Glad to see you are still here, unlike the others. Stick around and contribute.

BTW, why didn't you answer my PM?

NIG,

What I admire about Dean is that he had the guts to bring this out into the open. He stands by what he believes in and won't back down. That is what I admire.

OK. But do you admire his intolerance of others who don't hear it? :)

I think Dean could of handled himself another way. Sometimes his attacks on others do get to me, but there isn't a thing I can do about that. So in essence, no, I don't admire the attacks.

I am being honest here Dean, if you read this.

A syrupy sig would be one that has Augeri with wings and says "A voice form heaven" or stuff like that. You know, almost everyone at BT has one.

I'll go back and put quotes around that email from an ardent JRNY fan.

Do you know how many PM's and emails I got because of this mess. Have to sort through them just to communicate with customers. I'll get to ya eventually, Dave but the old respect just don't warrant a move to the top right now. What you just read is a mere sampling of the positive notes I got. There's hundreds. Only Deano, some fingers dude, and Mr Clarification were negative. 3 out of hundreds.

I have to disagree Craig, if Neal had no ego he would not be able to perform in front of hundreds of people.

I think there is a size limit. Check your profile where the sig box is, it should say. Or maybe that was the avatar size.

So were you at the Greeley Show? I couldn't bring myself to get to that show...and they played a private gig in Denver the night before!!

So ego wouldn't foster stage fright or burnout. ONly so many hours in the day, yunno? Worrying about who's in the limelight, and who isn't has not effected Neal one little bit. He just wants to play, and bring enjoyment to those who listen, be it hundreds or mega thousands.
