Too much work to spell it out.

Chalk up yet another slave to my sizeable and ever growing contingent of female following around these parts, I see. :)

Nice topic :)

Like others here, I would prefer to demonstrate the spectrum of the killer sound of Journey.

Like Moon Beam, I would chose "Edge of the Blade" (it was the Frontiers album that made me a Journey fan) for the rockin' side.

For the softer side, it would have to be "Why Can't This Night Go on Forever".

To be fair, you would need a midtempo one right  Its beginning to get crowded. But for a mid tempo song I would go with "The Eyes of a Woman" Love that song.

But, if really, really pressed to one song, I would choose "Don't Stop Believin'". Everybody knows that one, even the ones who don't know who Journey is.

Good choice also, perhaps slightly less hardassed than EOTB (pardon my french :D ). I think that EOTB is the hardest, roughest song I have ever heard from Journey.

Like Raised on Radio too, a bit like Stone in Love, a great song that energizes you.

I'm gonna say Stone in Love too, and Winds of March.

For the current lineup, With Your Love, Loved by You or Faith in the Heartland.

I've heard you guys talk about Winds of March for as long as I've been on this board. It seems to be a song loved by all. Anyone have a clip of this?

I've played Winds Of March for my friends who feel they are too cool to like Journey and it has changed their minds.

Also, 'these youngs kids today' seem to be getting into prog-rock and the pre-Perry stuff just blows them away.

I have from Evolution forward.....my bad :(

I downloaded Winds of March from ITunes. What an amazing piece of music! Understandable why it is so well liked.

Oddly enough, not one of my favorites on the album. Feeling That Way and Anytime blow it away...(some of Neal's greatest overall guitars all the vox from lead to harmonies...) . Nonetheless, though. Good jam, Winds Of March.

There are so many songs I love, but if I had to pick just one it would definately be Don't Stop Believin'.

Good choice. I suppose its just a really good song, an uplifting song aswell. It sends a positive message. From my experiences, indroducing people to Journey - the most liked and successful songs have been.

Don't Stop Believin'
Send Her My Love

There are so many to choose apart from those 2, but either one of those is fine... so!, Send Her My Love. 8)
