1) It is an outdoor show

2) It is a MUSIC VIDEO. The audio is not synched with the video...you can see places where Schon is 2 seconds off BECAUSE IT IS A MUSIC VIDEO

Look at many videos at YouTube and you will notice they're often out of synch because they are extremely compressed.

With today's hi end mics, ones that can take a Marshall cabinet blowing into them, saying his voice would distort it doesnt quite jive. Also, with compressors, limiters, etc, moving the mic a couple inches, isnt going to make that big of a difference in the vocal level.

Now that being said, is he using "support" tracks? Possibly, but a LOT of bands have and do. Def Lep, Winger and Rush come to mind...
