Really? I'm a HUGE Rush fan and VT is a decent album but I don't think I've ever heard anyone mention that as one of their favorites.

Yup. Beat out Permanent Waves and Grace Under Pressure for me (Which was a VERY hard thing to do). The lyrics are superb and the music...I STILL hear something different and new everytime I listen to it. Again..the production is a little loud for most...but it's a GREAT album.

I really like VT. But for me nothing can beat 2112 and Farewell to Kings. Those two two of my faves. Damn there are just too many.

"A Farewell to Kings" is one of my top 5 albums of all time. The title track and "Xanadu" are awesome, not to mention the others. "Cinderella Man" is the weakest track, in my opinion, but it's still good.Escape79 wrote:This may be considered blasphemy to most Rush fans...but Farwell to Kings...I could never REALLY get into the album. LOL....blasphemy!!!!! Hey, we all like different stuff. The cool thing about Rush is that they change with every new CD. But it's all good stuff! I really like "Hold Your Fire" and I know it probably would not be in most people's top five Rush albums.

I love "Hold Your Fire". I didn't used to like it but after listening to it many times, I've grown to like it. I think some of Peart's best writing is on that album, especially the song "Mission", which is one of my all-time favorite songs. Very inspiring tune.
Evilweevil wrote:"Mission" is a classic. I really also like the song "Tia Shan" and I LOVE "Second Nature" Have you ever heard Eric Martin's version of "Mission"? He did it justice I thought which is saying alot with a Rush song.

Nope. Haven't heard that version.

And in my opinion they have the best Fan website on the web....I don't think anyone would disagree with that....not to mention regular make-overs. Take a look at the Styx site, other than pics from the dressing room and Tommy's notes nothin ever seems to happen...wish they'd spice it up a bit! Journey's site is okay but nothin to scream home about, unless you press that BT button, that'll scare the shit out of anybody...that's a joke okay, a joke!
