I somehow doubt Neal posts...but reads? Yeah on occasion I would think... You don't even have to be registered to read the posts so he might not even have a name to post...

I don't know Neal, but from what I've read of his personality it seems like he would have a hard time just lurking... I know I find it tough not to join in online and I'm hardly as frank as he is!

I believe I read somewhere that Steve Augeri's sister has posted here before. And if it is true that she did post here, I would not be surprised if the guys cruised the forums.

Deen's sister has posted here once or twice. Steve's wife got a login so she could reply if necessary but she has never used it. But she definately follows the boards from time to time. Although I doubt she has since "tapegate" got going.

I think it would depend. I wouldn't like seeing it, especially if it wasn't true. But on the other hand, I'd want to know what was being said.

It obviously means so little to the music press...that no one is even bothered to follow the story up.... just about sums things up these days with our fave band doesnt it??

A lot of people on BT have also asked how he is and why we have heard nothing.Lets be honest one of the first questions he will be asked is about the tape situation,ths is not good for him or Journey to talk about. In my opinion his throat condition is basically that its shot and he wont be back period with Journey, maybe thats why nothing is being said,it sounds a whole lot better than we sacked the guy.

I'm still surprised people are amazed no one including Steve Augeri has commented publicly.

As I've said in another thread, I think the next thing you'll hear is a statement from the band similar to, "Journey regrets to announce that after long consideration, Steve Augeri has decided not to return. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors."

Besides the fact that is is possible SA is on total voice rest, they've got to have him legally bound. And for that, I'm sure they paid him handsomely.

I know people want him back. I'm not insensitive to that at all. But I think that the reality is what it is: JSS is the *cough* "temporary" *cough* replacement. I think Neal knows enough (he's not that dumb) that he'd let JSS go to Talisman for a few months and come back. Journey takes the rest of the fall and part of the winter, maybe spring off, and shazam! New tour and possibly new album next summer. They talked about going back to Europe. JSS is popular there. Think 1 + 1 does not equal 2 here?

I can see SA being heard from again, just not with Journey. I feel for the fans who really want him back, but it's nice to see reality setting in.

I'm the real Neal Schon and so is my pet (parody from Monty Python's Life Of Brian).

Talisman European dates now shelved due to Jeff's ongoing stint with Journey. I recall SA saying a few months back that he's involved in a Tall Stories project that he hoped to do after the conclusion of the Summer tour. With no news coming from the band or management or even record label, fans are bound to start drawing their own conclusions the longer the silence continues. Personally I'm not that worried about it. At the end of the day Journey to me is just one of many bands I like to listen to. It's not my position to dictate what the band do or dont do. If they decided to call time on everything, it would be their choice and I'd respect that decision and say thanks for the music. If they decide to replace Steve A, their choice. If they install JSS permanently and change their musical direction or even change their band name - their call to make.

Life will go on, morning will follow night, the Earth will still revolve around the sun. Right now there are children dying of aids or starvation in the 3rd world - surely when compared to REAL issues, what a band does or doesnt do seems trivial by comparison yeah?.

yeah I go there too but only for short periods - any prolonged exposure over 5 minutes and its sick bucket time as I have to barf due to all the sloppy crap that gets posted there. "Oh pweese send pwayers for my Stevie..." "Oh I miss my Stevie and I want him back so badwy..." "If Stevie's not in the band I'm not coming on this forum anymore cos it upsets me so much..."

You know someone should give me a damn (I can say that here without it getting asteristed out) gun and some preparation H bullets so I can go over on to BT and finally put an end to these sad assholes' misery!!!!
