Come on. Rob Thomas? Joining Journey of his own free will? When he is already majorly successful with his solo career and M20?

I AM being good, and I AM watching my language.

The day YOU tell me how to act is the day the sun sets in the east.

Can I tell you how to act??? I am REALLY good at it and I haven't been told to F-Off from the west coast in a while! ;)

Thanks for kicking me out of the Fantasy FB league. I was pumped to dominate you steel town rooks.

Actually we didn't get enough people for that league to be able to draft, I sent the invite for the new league, you never responded...but we are putting another league together if you want to get in, I will PM you the details.

I think an established artist like Thomas who is both young AND talented could put them back to mega-stardom fast. He seems like he'd be a great fit to me. Likeable too. It's just speculation, so what would your thoughts be IF it did happen. I, for one, would be amped big time.

I like your concept of getting someone established, young and talented. But I don't think Rob Thomas would have the range to sing the Perry material. Most of the singing I've heard from him seems to be in a lower key.

Having said that, he could probably do some really good new material with them.

What if Journey put out an album with a bunch of guest vocalists, ala SANTANA?

I thought of that. Seems like a total sellout, along the terms of Def Lippard "singing" covers. Totally lame.

Fernando, I have your CD, and love it. What would you say, as an artist, "Hey Fernando, care to tryout some other singers for an album?"

I would think you would say, "Fuck no."

Am I right?

Why not bring back Gregg Rolie? He's my second-favorite member of Journey anyway. Absolutely phenomenal voice! :)

Heck, here's a name for ya'll: SAMMY HAGAR!

Dude, thanks for the props. But if I had some really great big name singers that were willing to sing some of my songs, damn straight I'd let them do it!! It would be great publicity for me... I would release the CD and make a hell of a lot more money than I do now. For once I would sell some copies here in the USA, and not just mostly in Japan like I do now. But I would only do it if the songs were mine. I would own the original recordings and copyrights because I wrote the music and lyrics... so they would have to agree to that, and just sing my material.

I mean, come on, if somebody like Perry came along and said he wanted to do an album with me, damn straight I would let him be the singer!

But what i was saying about JOURNEY was not for them to put out a lame covers album like the recent Def Lepp travesty, but do it the way SANTANA did SUPERNATURAL. It worked really well for him... he's never really been able to hold onto a good, decent singer since Rolie left him. So he said screw it, I'll just get a lot of singers on my album. I know EDDIE VAN HALEN had the idea to do what Santana did, like back in 1985, just before he hired Sammy.

The Chiefs Wide Reciever? Let's get JJ Birden while we're at it.

There's gonna be no other singer in 2007 than (in order of likelihood):

1) JSS
2) Augeri
3) Perry

Here's a deal. The ol' fan favorite quantity for quality deal: I'll give you both the Eagles' and Jets' version of Monk for the Redskins' version.

I would rather have Thomas than Augeri. Yuk to that fuck.

Meatloaf would be great. Guy can sing like a sonofabitch.

Haha, maybe Frank M could be his roadie and get all the required grub in place...Pots and pots gravvy, mashed Potatoes, fried chicken. Large Pizzas x4, 12 packs of Coke, cases of beer, Doritos, Lays, Beef Jerkey and Mothers cookies. Frank would be in Heaven.

Might as well that get that fat purple milkshake drinkin motherfucker Grimace if you're gonna have Frank be Meat's roadie. All the grub would dusted by the time the band tore into Lights.
