This I would agree with. As long as he gets his cut, why would he care until it possibly impacted his bottom line?

Whatever.

Unlike yourself, I didn't omit and include tracks from Red 13/Generations without offering a scintila as to "why".

He really doesn't, but you know what, I am sick of this shit...Even I am tired of it.

I just place less blame on DC because he is 4th or 5th on the pecking order and probably is not a decision maker. this falls on NS, Friga and Valory. Those guys are greedy scumbags. Then I put Fraudgeri up there right behind them or level, because he could have stopped the runaway train before it derailed and chose not to. As far as Grandpa, I am not so sure he knew about this until the heat was turned way way up.

You must be the forum god. I wasn't aware there was a change in leadership here, so I wasn't aware I was supposed to answer to you. I simply asked for a track list, not comments on "throat infections" and throwing people off the tour bus.

You seemingly have all the attention span of an ADHD afflicted gnat.

That has to be the lamest insult I've seen on this forum and that's saying something. Come up with something better. I'm not getting any entertainment value out of this.

Please forgive me, oh exalted one. May my humbleness appease your wrath.

Ok, so according to you, I'm the overweening one who considers himself a "forum god", yet in the very same sentence you instruct me on what I can and cannot write about.
Are you oblivious to your own mind numbing hypocrisy, sir?

Perhaps, but nowhere near as lame as countering an insult by calling it "lame", and thereby cowardly absolving yourself of inventing an insult of your own.

I really don't understand why you are being so hostile to Dave here. There was another post about favorite Augeri era songs, and somehow it got to be about combining Red 13 and Generations, so he started a new thread on it.

These are his picks for HIS perfect album. Why do you think it's deeper than that? Geez!

I'm not too crazy about the words/vocals...but the song itself...AMAZING. Especially the guitar solo at the end. Beautiful melody with the overlayed guitars and synths. :-)

That's because you didn't read the thread.
Dave accuses me of being a cyber provocateur and a "mudslinger".

I don't, and again you prove that you didn't read the entiriety of the thread and have no idea what your commenting on. Buzz off.

I think it's a failed effort. It's almost good. It's got a similar female-reflective vibe to it like other Augeri compositions such as "Jamie", "Somewhere She Waits For Love", or "Restless One".
Ultimately, Butterfly is almost decent , but like Believe, it succumbs to tedious, drawn-out repetition in the end.
One refrain of "in a cage, tried to escape..." too many imo.

Gotta echo Causes' argument. I would much rather hear butterfly over Believe...that isn't saying much. My 17 yr old daughter could write Believe. Play a keyboard part, a very simple one, and run it on a continuos loop. Meanwhile, Butterfly is absolute trash. yes, I know the message, but it could have been better.

These weak songs only reinforce the fact that Friga and especially Schon didn't give a shit about this CD. Hell, Neal was off doing something and didn't even know the consist of the Cd as it went to press. WTF?

OK...I simply started a thread to see what everyone would pick as the track list if the two albums were combined. I didn't think it was appropriate to turn the thread into something about "throwing someone off the bus". I don't think it's hypocritical to ask that people respect the author of the thread and not bring other stuff like that into it. I don't think I said you could or couldn't write about anything. I simply stated the following...

All I simply asked were your opinions on the songs, not your personal crap to be thrown at whoever you don't like in the band.

Please show me where I said in that statment that you or anyone COULD or COULDN'T write something. You have freedom here to say whatever you want but that doesn't mean you SHOULD say it. There's no hypocrisy in that.

Perhaps, but nowhere near as lame as countering an insult by calling it "lame", and thereby cowardly absolving yourself of inventing an insult of your own...

Wow! I give you higher marks on your creativity this time. I must've hit close to the mark to get you so riled up here. Anyway, I get no personal gratification out of insulting people, so you're not going to goad me into a war of insults here.

Look, this isn't worth getting bent out of shape over. I probably should've just kept the whole mudslinging comment to myself and just let your original post go by without responding. I'm not taking your comments personally and I would suggest you don't take mine that way, either.

You say you don't know if Azoff knew, yet a couple of months or so ago you were saying he was the one that wouldn't let Neal replace Augeri?

It's not necessary for a manager to know what his band is doing on stage - from a technical point of view.
I am sure Azoff is not really interested in mixers,PAs,how the band sounds or if they are using tapes or not. Those are the band's and the crew's problems.

As long as the tour goes well, tickets are sold and the band is on stage, everything's fine by the manager.
Everyone gets their money and that's that.

So Azoff didn't have to be aware of what was going on.

If it's true that Neal wanted Augeri out,I wouldn't be surprised if Azoff was against that idea.
He must've thought that another change of singers would affect Journey's image and the fanbase.(read record buyers & concert goers)
