Thanks. :)

Although I've never actually heard JEW...I kind of stopped listening to new music in the late 90's after Limp Bizkit came out, so if it was on U.S. radio since then, there's a good chance I missed it.

's okay. Radio's not smart enough to play JEW. Your harmonies are great though. Limp Bizkit... God, thank God I don't hear them much...

THANK YOU!

OK....

Here's TRAG doing a "Tried & True" Classic Rock standard:

Pat Benatar ~ "Hit Me With Your Best Shot"

This was recorded on a small, hand held tape recorder that was hanging on the wall next to one of our amps....which accounts for why it sounds like it's being played "over the phone".

This isn't me but something my brother put together. He plays guitar and leads worship at his church. This, though, kinda reminds me of the intro to "Fade to Black" by Metallica...

Sure. Um, the story is basically me and a few friends waited all day outside the United Center in Chicago where the bands load in, and Bono came out and talked to us. U2 is my favorite band, so it really was the thrill of a lifetime. He was a really down to earth guy to talk to, surprisingly, once you got over the "holy shit, it's f$@king Bono" thing, and extremely gracious and patient with all the fans. I know a lot of people think he's kind of pretentious, and he can be sometimes, but when I watched him interacting with us fans that had gathered, he was exactly like what you wish all rock stars would be: still projecting an aura of greatness but still gracious and appreciative of those who support him. I really only talked to the guy for maybe a minute (there were about 30-odd fans gathered, so I just stuttered out a few words and got a quick picture) but it was still one of the coolest things that's ever happened to me.

I have one with Steve Lukather too, but it was at night and isn't the greatest picture ever. Hopefully I can remedy that when I fly to LA in September. :)

That stuff is all at least 18 months old. I've got at least another 50 pieces of music written that I don't have any words for...writing music is the easiest thing in the world but I'm not really much with words. So if there's any lyricists out there with extra stuff floating around, let me know. :)

For some reason can't get any of yours to play...buffering forever.

One of these days I'm gonna have to figure out how to convert all my cassette tapes of "demos" to digital format or CD. I've got about 50 songs, maybe more, just vocals and an acoustic guitar that I recorded on the ultra cheap when in college. I'd probably be embarrassed by them now, as my singing wasn't up to snuff yet (though I'm "cold" from lack of practice now, so who knows).

Walrus, you sound like the opposite of me yet very similar...I've got about 300 songs worth of lyrics and only maybe 50-60 with music. And I've got a fake band name for "me" too, though a band started using it recently...Vertigo.

Anyone got a quickie/cheap method to convert cassette to CD? Then I can share!

Just plug your tape player directly into your soundcard. Most CD-r/rw drives come with recording software or you can use something lie Roxio or Nero. In Roxio (which is what I use) you can use "Sound Editor" to capture what is coming out of the tape. You can "fix" some of the sound, and add track breaks. The program converts to MP3.
