I think it's obvious who the wannabes are. They typically post a lot in spurts and leave before they can really defend any of their accusations. They don't stick around to contribute anything.

Yak,

The operative word in all of these scandalous exposes of yours is private. At least we kept our personal comments about other people on that private board. That's a small courtesy that hasn't always been shown to Perry and his fans. That's why we left the VH1 board and started that private board in the first place. We were just tired of the constant abuse.

Now, in regard to Fred and Dave, I've spoken with both of those men privately and done my best to make amends. You however seem intent on starting those old, bitter battles all over again. Why would anyone want to do that? Why did you want to hurt everyone involved by posting those things on a public board? We didn't do that, you did.

Now because you've chosen to make this public, I'm publicly apologizing to Fred and Dave. I know they're fine people. We were all caught up in an ugly situation and I, for one, don't want to see it repeated.

I don't ever want to go through what we did on the VH1 board again and I wish you would just get over it. The rest of us are trying to.

Yeah, I can confirm after ohsherrie told me in a PM that I should do unmentionable things to myself (usually I reserve that privilege for my wife) and wished me into the bottomless pit (or was that someone else?) - :D - that we eventually realized it's only music afterall. Like Rafiki said, "It's in the past!" I have a strong suspicion though there are other people on this board, from those days of past "glory" who, for one reason or another continue to hold grudges towards me. That's totally up to them. In truth, during the VH-1 board days, all of us (myself included) were pretty brutal to one another. It boggles my mind, but I'll know I'll have to answer for it to the only Person that really matters...and no, it's not my dog either. :D

I remember the days of being on a Perry board owned by a "Susie," and all the stuff that went down there. I would not be at all surprised if some of those ladies are here on this forum now. Looking back, it's pretty hilarious what most of us used to get riled over. That's life.

Man, not to change the subject, but I just had Tootsie Pop and DANG was that good! Brings back memories. I think I'll have another...

I wasn't going to accuse you. There were actually two Susie's on the board if I recall, and from what I understand, the two of them had a falling out eventually. Ultimately, who cares? It's all water under the bridge...which was my main point to ohsherrie in my previous post.

Well, I have never agreed that that was somehow more "honorable"...to say one thing on a public board and to say something else on a private one. But it doesn't bother me any. Sherrie and I have no problems. Hell, even in the middle of all the shit, we were actually trying to modify the decorum of the forum...much in the same way a few of "us" felt this place could use a little touching up. (Which, Andrew, is why I know it is very difficult for a minority to affect change...)

Mmmmm...

Monker starts a thread which (as usual) stirs the pot, but then he disappears. Perhaps I should now close this thread?

Wasn't Monker just sharing what he thought about the forum here? Not sure it required him to return to it, but I could be wrong...

How about clearing my name while your at it OSherrie? I had nothing to do with any of this. Would you explain how you brought me into all this. You thought that I was someone else and with this assumption, wrote vile things about me to people here. You told me you were sorry that I got dragged into it, now please explain how you dragged me into it. I already know that it was through Dean, so start there, please.

Please don't close this, Andrew. Too many people have been hurt by your allowing Yak to post so relentlessly. I would really like it hashed out and concluded. I'm not protesting too much, I simply want my mistaken part in it cleared up. :(

Sometimes, it takes a little getting to know someone a little better before they get along. Case in point: I didn't care for Dean at all when I first arrived, because of his "over-the-top" personality. I have since found that he is quite a good guy underneath that harsh and rugged "over-the-top" personality.

Now, Monker. Hmm.. I guess, from reading, that I don't know the guy as well as I should? I don't know? I've always found his messages to be so negative and pessimistic. However, in the future, I will try to keep in mind that he is knowledgeable when it comes to Journey. I have decided, as many have here recently, to back off with my own kind of harshness. So, that being said, I probably won't be responding to Monker anymore, as I really haven't seen anything posted by him even remotely optimistic/positive, ever.

There are others here I'll try to get along with in the future, too. However, when you get right down to it, it is a two way street. Everybody has to try to get along with everybody for there to be any success at a more pleasant atmosphere around here.

However, this being a free public forum board, I seriously doubt anybody to post a thread and not expect people to respond to it.

There have ALWAYS been 'cliques' in Journey fandom. I avoid them because when I was 'in' them and saw how people talked about those 'outside' the 'clique' I felt that it was wrong. I'd rather be the one talked about then the one reading a bunch of private, "Did you see what so-and-so said? Everytime he/she says something it makes him/her look more stupid!" Cuz, that is really what goes on behind the scenes.

Fred's right. I've done it before. It's written in a way to be entertaining, thought provoking, and critical at the same time. That takes effort...more effort then most people care to make. I know people will reply...but, from MY perspective, it's for me to express myself and for others to read. It's like publishing a book...you don't expect people to write you letters back, but it's fine if they do.
