As much as I think Generations is awful, I still read the other opinions from others who actually think it's a good CD.

I was one who loved Generations when it came out. For some unknown reason, I just can't even listen to it anylonger. I told Neal he owed me 20 bucks for my new coaster.

As a guitar player I still listen to a LOT of the cd 'cause it's got some great guitar work on it. Neal's all over the place on the cd and that's what I've been waiting for a while to hear. As far as everything else goes...I can do without the cd.
I've stated this MANY times that Butterfly as a whole is not a good song...but once you get to that last minute or so with 3 overlayed guitars, Keys, synth, strings, bass and drums...it's FANTASTIC. Just wish that part would've made it on to another track worthy of the Journey name. IMO.

I said after listening to Generations that if I ever met the guys in Journey, I'm telling Neal I want my $20 back! If Augeri had remained with Journey, I would not have ever purchased another CD after a VERY mediocre (and I'm being kind, here!) CD. I surely don't think it was Augeri's fault Generations was so bad. In fact, the few songs that were tolerable were with him on vocals. I just didn't like the direction Journey was headed in with Generations. Let's hope that JSS helps them to right the ship!

I was more disappointed w/that CD than any other CD I listened to in my life. I am so glad I got it for free. If I had to pay for it, I would be pissed. I instantly loved A Beter Life. FITH grew on me over time. Butterfly is just about the worst song I have ever heard in my life. (Well that may be an exaggeration. Some rap songs are right up there. But coming from Journey? That song is shit.)

I vote for Lula to moderate. She never gets too riled up. She's cool & funny. She knows how to handle Dean so she could handle ANYONE. & she's a teacher & used to bratty kids fighting.
