But does it touch "Remember Me" or "Higher Place"?
I don't think so.
More importantly, does it meet Herbie Herbert's litmus test of "taking u somewhere"?
I think "Faith in the Heartland" stirs the soul more than this.
Make no mistake, its more than a decent tune, its a good tune.
Throw it on the album if u want, but it's not a showstopper by any stretch of the imagination.

See, I think it DOES take the listener somewhere. I really like the melodic flow, and it has balls....Personally,, and you know I am honest in my opinion...

I DO think it's better than Higher Place and Remember me...and no, not because Fraudgeri sang those...or did he?

I think "Faith In The Heartland" is the best post-Perry Journey tune to date. I don't think "Believe In Me" trumps it, but I think it's a great tune that would provide a really nice starting point for the next Journey record. I do think Journey can come up with a song better than "Believe In Me," but I don't think they'll come up with 12 of those songs, so the tune really belongs on that record.

I for one would not mind seeing this song on a new Journey release but I have to agree that I am more intrigued at the prospect of hearing some new Soto/Schon/Cain material.... :P
