I'm having trouble getting over the part about becoming a successful solo artist. Did I read that right? Is he talking about himself? The song? Cain will NEVER be a successful solo artist. Especially when a duet isn't solo. NO ONE is hearing the song on the radio.

Just a thought...how many songs have gone to #1 in separate decades...let alone 24 years apart...especially when co-performed by the original songwriter? And no, you can't count that talentless bitch Natalie Cole, who pulled a Fraudgieri by brutalizing her brilliant (late) father's work.

While I don't think Journey would have been reduced to doing boat shows with Hasselhof if Tapegate hadn't surfaced, I think Deano has a point. I don't always agree with the guy, but hell, he's half the reason I started posting here.

Faithfully wasn't a number one in the 80's.

Natalie Cole IS a good singer, just because you don't like one song, doesn't mean you can compare her to Augeri's crap that he pulled. It was a brilliant marketing move on the part of the manager, singer, producers & record company. Practically groundbreaking at the time.

True on both points. However, my beef is that while the producers were talented and the concept was revolutionary, Natalie had NOTHING to do with any of those songs being written or performed. She couldn't write her name on number 24. (And the judge said, "Boy, just one more...I'm gonna throw your ass in the city joint! Look me in the eye, you'll get my point!")

Oh, no. Whatever shall I do now? You're as out of touch as a fat guy at a lesbian bar, your posts lack credibility and are rarely supported by real evidence, and you're an ass kisser, besides. Get off your soapbox, jackass.

No, Matthew, it doesn't. I do too, but I've never heard this song on the radio before. The station I listen to plays classic rock, including a lot of Journey, but this song, never. I guess I can see it being played on "Light" stations. :?

Cain needs a testosterone shot. He took a powerful tune and made it sounds like the theme song from My Little Pony. Arrrghhh. #1 ???? On the sissy ballad 100 maybe ? Yuck.

I don't like it either, but he obviously did something right, so congrats to him!

Yeah, exposed the fact that a whopping 4 spins on the AC channels will get you a "#1 hit."

I have yet to hear the song on the radio either. I tried requesting it on a few light rock stations and they not only don't have it, they have never heard of it. I heard it on Cain's website only.

This is all smoke and mirrors. It's not ANY sort of hit and no one gives a shit about the song....radio stations included.
