Debbie my thoughts and prayers are with you and your daughter

Kidney stones are really painful and extremely painful to pass, I'd rather go thru a labour any day it's less painful

Thoughts and prayers to you and your daughter. My oldest child had the same thing and he really had a hard time with it for awhile. He's okay now.

It is more painful than childbirth espo the first time

Sorry for the graphic nature of this but it is like taking a piece of barbed wire ramming it up you private parts and then slowly twisting it and pulling it very slowly

I am sure you are making Debbie feel a lot better. You should be a nurse with that great bedside manner. :?

Actually, she kinda said that same thing last night.

and she said that she's rather go through labor again.

surgery delayed for emergency c-section. waiting waiting waiting.....................thanks all.

oh, yes they did mention stint.

She is out of surgery. they couldn't find anymore so she must have passed it in the 18 hours since the MRI or Catscan, whatever. there is a lot of inflammation so she passed a good one. no stint. they will run the dye to check for others later today. and they are doing the sonar thing to bust up any little ones that are starting. she has good flow. no tumors no cancer. thank you Jesus.

thanks for hanging with me, friends. I love you all.

Great news Debbie! It should all be uphill from here for her! They should be able to give her some nice pain pills to help with the pain too. Glad there was nothing more serious.

Just now seeing this thread. I'm glad to hear it went well and hopefully she'll not have any more attacks. My husband has chronic stones and had a stent placed several years ago and he was in excruciating pain so I know how awful it can be for the person suffering.

thanks all.

she is home and in some discomfort, presumably from the procedure.

any thoughts or suggestions on prevention would be appreciated. this isn't the first time has had this. she seems too young.

thanks again.

My husband has had two and his first was when he was about 30. They just told him he is prone to it and he needs to drink a lot of water every day. He drinks more water now and hasn't had one in a while, but I don't know it that's why or not.

she says she drinks water but I think she drinks too much DP. and Heart said no nitrates. she has small children so there has to be lots of hotdogs and lunch meat around.
