Deano- On your blog please let the casual ticket buyer know the the band is NOT the 80-90's Journey. Some will still think Perry is the singer and new fans of Jeff may not know he is MIA already. Some people only look to a name and a good time on a weekend . Remember they never let fans know the Augeri was the new singer.

And it is for that reason that all of us being pissed at the band isn't going to affect them at all. So long as they have someone who can passably hit the notes, live or memorex, there will be people that will go see them just to get drunk and sing along (badly) to the dirty dozen.

& that's why Dean needs a blog & to be as LOUD as possible about this. We ALL do.

If I ever hear an ass at a concert say "who is Steve Perry? lead singer of Aerosmith?" or "Oooh he got a perm" or "ooh he got a tan, a perm & a haircut" or worse "Journey's best song was Oh Sherry, it's on my iPod, see!" & it's spelled exactly like I just did, I think I will fucking cut someone up!

WE can educate the masses. Let's go.

I suppose anything that gets the wonderful JourneyRoxx (now very suitably renamed) out of retirement can't be all bad but other than that there's fuck-all good to say about this debacle. Journey aren't even my favourite band yet they have hurt me more than any other band I've followed.

I remember in last year's Tapegate blog saying I felt like a kid who'd discovered there was no Santa Claus. Just 3 months ago I saw a band on fire, with what seemed to be genuine affection between the members. I can't believe they've done this to Jeff. I can't write anymore now, I can't see for tears.

Finish them, Dean. They deserve nothing less.
