Unbelievable.

Dude, if I can bring myself to buy a REO cd w/o Richrath. I'll sure as hell buy a Journey cd w/o Soto. :D

I distinctly recall people calling up on the radio after the Journey-themed 'Blind Date' episode aired.
Nobody knew who Augeri was or what the hell he was doing up there.
By and large, the band was made to be a laughing stock.
So what else is new?

nope, not a chance in hell for me. I saw Perry twice, that's enough. He was able to sing pretty damned good in the 80's and 90's when I saw him live. I wouldn't take the chance, and as I'm on the record ad nauseum(sp?) saying I'll never throw away any of my money on the band again, I'm sticking to my decision.

Anyone who now says they'll never suport them again, and then decides, well hell, Perry's bakc, I've GOT to see them, is a chicken shit for not sticking with their own convictions and staying the hell away form that mess. That goes for Perry. If (and he won't) he did one last concert or tour at this point, then I'll lose respect for him as my all time favorite singer.

If Perry
Wants to flush the rest of his life down the toilet with them
I''ll never speak to him again

I think most of us are mature enough to accept what was is over.
A beautiful memory to take with us through the days of old.
No need to drag Steve back into this ember of what used to be.

They had a chance to rekindle Journey on a new horizon
but for some reason
there heads are up there asses...

So, I say to Steve Perry
Flush them out of your life...

As much as I love Perry, and would love to see him sing again (which he wont)....I STILL would NOT go see Journey even with him singing. I wouldnt enjoy myself. I'd be in the front row parked right in front of Neal with a giant foam "fuck you" finger and not get to enjoy Perry. Its just done with me. Completely and totally done.

No way Perry's goin' near the smelly pile.

If it was on, that'd have given an acceptable out with JSS.

Why even announce JSS as "permanent".

I'm sure he would've been happy to simply help them finish the tour without any promises.

But you know how untrustworthy people never trust others? They wanted to dangle that carrot out there so he'd stick around.

That would be the only way I'd ever support them, with PERRY. I missed my chance to see SP twice, not going for a third. I know this will NEVER happen. The only thing we can hope for now is a solo tour....

Hey all,i waited over 20yrs to see Journey here in the UK then we get two tours and two different singers so not sure what to expect next time!!!!
Went to see Reo a couple of weeks ago and theres def a respect and warmth to the fans that isnt there from certain members of Journey and whats been done to JSS by whoever this week from within the Journey camp is in my view a two fingered salute to all the fans who went to the gigs on the last tour no matter which country you live in,to them we are mugs!!!
I will keep my thirty pounds plus in my pocket the next time they tour here in the UK and spend it on bands that dont take the p**s out of us and i will def spend part of that money on JSS if he tours here because in all this hes kept his dignity intact and for that reason alone he will have my support!!!-Mick

If Perry came back, put the ring back in Friga and Fros's noses, and said "listen DICKWEEDS, this is what we're gonna do "....then yeah, I'd be onboard for a reunion tour or CD. Otherwise, I've seen all the stupid moves from these post TBF lineups and management that I care to witness.

As far as Soto goes...he doesn't need these guys AT ALL.

Which leads to a great question. Who here, who say hell no to them, would support them or at least go see a concert IF-will never happen for many reasons, Perry was singing?
I'm sure many are going to say, will never happen so why ask or worry about it...just wondering how much that might change something.

For me, no matter what incarnation of Journey tours, I won't be there. I'll still listen to the music, but I won't buy another CD or DVD. I'll enjoy what I have while not spending any more money on them. After so long, I have no idea what the real truth is anymore. Actually, I don't think I care anymore what the real truth is. I'm definitely hurt to find out that these artists I've loved for most of my life could behave this way. Its all such royally effed up drama that they've created, I've just got to let go.
If I wanted to be a doormat, I'd sit out on my front step with a key up my ass.
