I have to admit, Perry sounds good on the Guff song. He needs to get his back in the studio.

I'd love to hear more and see him in the studio more, yup. This song, more so than the David Pack CD, showed me he still has the pipes. Also got me greedy for more.

Is there somewhere to hear the Guff song without buying the CD? I'm not going to pay for a CD just to hear Steve sing backup on one song.

DC... That was after several days of yelling out loud. I can't sing worth shit after going to any event like that, let alone talk. This was not a concert.

Guff CD is killer.

Said it before; I'll say it again:

Here's his answer from an interview on the field with a Chicago reporter, right after the World Series win, asking about his singing with the guys on the team:

SP: "[I was singing with] a screaming voice - a screaming voice....after screaming for FOUR DAYS, because we SWEPT!"

Thanks Niggy. Image It sounds so great. Damn, there's just no missing that voice.

I wish he would do just one more album. He doesn't have to tour, just give us addicts a little more Perry to listen to.

I second that request. Although, I would love to see it live (never got to when he was with Journey), but I'd be happy with a cd.

woof.

"He has chosen to sing in a lower register than what he did earlier on in Journey. That does not equate to not being able to sing. His worst day singing is better than 99.9% of the artists out there on their best days."

Amen to that!

He sounds great on the Guff song, well the remake of a Journey song. He is his own worst critic and he has admitted that what we feel to be 100% would only be 50% to him, though he was incredible working with GUFF.

I guess the only way to answer this question is this - Could YOU possibly do the same thing you did 12 years ago with the same stamina and energy? (why do I feel the men folk are gonna jump on this one  )

I can't believe what I'm reading. "He chooses to sing in a lower register". No you don't choose to sing that way, you blow your voice out on 200 date tours over 8 years , then 20 years later you can't sing in a high register if your life depends on it. I'm in agreement though, I wouldn't mind hearing an album with lower range stuff. Coverdale blew his voice out too, that's why In the Light and Restless Heart have so many lower range songs. And those are the ones I play the most. Sting can't sing anymore either and sings every thing (but a few songs) lower.
