I am not a Republican. In my opinion, anyone who's a member of either of the two major parties is participating in the crapfest that our government has become.

The only reason the Loony Leftist Libs may win is because the American people will see them as a lesser of two great evils, not because they think those goosesteppers have anything decent to offer.

You throw around the word, "Liberal" like it's evil. Let me tell you, I would much much rather be a liberal and be the kind of person who can help people and help causes, than be called a "conservative" and get all the money I can for me, me me. In a nutshell, that's who I am. I would rather "save the whatever animals" rather than "prevent healthcare for uninsured Americans" like the Cons do.

Sorry but studies consistently show that conservatives and religious people give more time AND money to charities than libs do. That's why leftists want the government to do it all through huge programs and entitlements (Neocons aren't far behind, for that matter).

Deal with it.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1770351/posts

A Syracuse University professor who studied economics at the famously demanding Rand Graduate School, Brooks has exhaustively reviewed a wide range of nonpartisan survey research, much of it university-based, to demonstrate the existence of a charitable divide between liberals and conservatives. He has determined, for instance, that the average conservative-headed household gives 30 percent more money to charity than the average liberal-headed one ($1,600 compared with $1,227), despite earning 6 percent less annually. Moreover, Brooks has found that of the 25 states where charitable giving was above average, George W. Bush won 24 in the 2004 presidential race. Perhaps there really are, to borrow John Edwards’s glib phrase, two Americas: one charitable, the other miserly.

By the way Dean. Did you see your boy Michael Moore get totally humiliated by John Stossel on 20/20 Friday? I have it on DVD if you want a copy. Stossel (a libertarian like your claim to be  ) exposes the crap health care in Canada. It's a 45 day wait just to get an MRI. But your dog can get one immediately. It was great. PM me if you want a copy.

Yeah I saw it. Hardly a humiliation.

Let's get one thing straight. I am NOT a Libertarian. I am a proud Democrat.
Secondly, you know why it's a wait in Canada unlike the United States? In Canada, people, all of Canada's citizens get healthcare, and thus more use the system. Here in the States, there is hardly a wait, because not every citizen is entitled to health care. that to me is appalling. Turn your back on your fellow citizens..the Conservative way of thinking just disgusts me.

Again, Canada is so much better a place to live. (Insert "then move there asshole" comment here).

The word "proud" and Democrat or Republican should never be used in the same sentence.

It's a huge wait in Canada because it's controlled by a cumbersome government bureaucracy.

No. That is NOT the best way to lower costs. The best way to lower costs is to CAP costs. Medical costs are so fucking outrageous. I don't care who I piss off here. Pharmacuticals, hospitals, insurance companies...all are guilty. The average American gets fucked over, as insurance companies deny claims, pharmacuticals rape people with sky high costs, and services are so ridiculous it's embarrassing. This is the human life we are talking about. I love how the republicans are so "pro life" but when the need comes for health care, it's "fuck you, deal with it."

Oh, like we haven't lost any rights or freedoms under this administration. If you let the terrorist change your society then they've won. If they attack you, and you go about ordinary business like nothing happened, then they had no effect, and lost. That is precisely what we should have done, and not what we did.

True competition in the market place and, yes, even in healthcare, spurs productivity AND creativity and keeps prices low. Government involvement and bureaucracy drives up prices and makes it harder to do business.

Every American should have health care. Why do you Cons oppose this?

No one opposes everyone having healthcare. However, there are literally millions of young workers that do not want healthcare because they want to be able to gamble and not spend the money on it. Should everyone be FORCED to have for healthcare, like what Hillary wants to do?

That may be true in the energy business, but like he said, in the healthcare business, insurance companies are raping the consumer, doctors are raping the consumer, everybody's fucking the little guy. That's why when I drive north of where I live, there edition after edition of 5000, 7000, and 10000 square foot houses surrounded by wrought iron fences with gates monitored by security guards. That's just the town I live in. Go to north Dallas if you want to get really ridiculous. I can't imagine what it's like in bigger/richer cities.

Most libertarians are typically not either conservative OR liberal, though. They're usually extremely conservative on individual liberties and fiscal issues and very liberal on social issues.

If everyone was to have healthcare, then the country could save millions and millions because preventative medicine will save dollars instead of having to deal with a problem that has gotten out of hand because the patient never had a chance to deal with the problem in the infancy stages.

By the way, young people would rather gamble their money instead of having health insurance? Ask my boys T + W if they want to go to Vegas or get Trev's heart fixed.

Congress is out for themselves. From the minute they get in they are running again. That is why their approval rating is 11%. They confiscate your tax money in order to give it away to their voter base. We are all total fools !

By the way, young people would rather gamble their money instead of having health insurance?

What it boils down to is that if you don't want to purchase health insurance, you should have to nor should you be forced to pay, in taxes, into a pool that will help pay OTHER people's health care. It's just another way for the nanny government to steal our money by force.

Unfortunately, that describes a lot of voters.

Sadly, if you take $$$ out of the medical industry doctors will go make money elsewhere. Google Canadian waiting lists and that is socialized medicine. Canadians with money come to the US because they can't wait 4-5 months. People die and they are now statistics. Many persons from other countries who have the means come here for medicine. Many in the U.S. go to India to save huge $$$ with U S board certified doctors in India.

America's system is far from perfect. JS showed some doctors who only accepted out of pocket payment. No HMO's or any insurance accepted. JS asked him how he could make a profit with $80 physicals and such. The Dr. said he makes about what the avg. doctor makes. He saves so much time and money from dealing with the HMO's it's ridiculous. Some Dr's even run practices out of Walmarts and stuff. Very affordable!

Conv PC . Agreed .The voters are responsible. That is why I said we are all total fools. If we just took the time we would see if you read enough and have many sources they will contradict themselves in the same week in another city or state. Don't they know we can hear or see them rebroadcast. They rely on the voters that have to get the news from sound bites. Many are clueless about the political world but can take up their time with game boy, shopping, soaps. etc. Many, many vote for a familiar name instead of a policy.

We already have government healthcare. It's called the VA. The pitiful care that many of our vets get is not because of the hardworking Drs and caregivers in the VA system, it's because of the bureaucracy they have to put up with to even get to the Dr. in the system.

Earlier in the year, the VA got hammered (righfully so) for poor conditions at their hospitals. This is coming to every hospital near you with Hillarycare.

By the way, young people would rather gamble their money instead of having health insurance? Ask my boys T + W if they want to go to Vegas or get Trev's heart fixed.

Every legal citzen in this country should have healthcare. It should not be a profit based care.I was in the hospital last year and they charged $15.00 for two Advil I could go in Walmart and buy 400 for $6.95.What the fuck.My mom had open heart surgery 3 years ago ,they charge $80,000. and she had a heart attack 10 days later.there was no fucking refund.I have a fucking $800.00 deductable I have to pay that money out of pocket before they pay shit.Clinton had a good plan, but the insurance companies bought out the politicians,I will happen again.Them whores
