ok, let's start from the beginning. footage was filmed by NFL films during the frontiers tour. the frontiers & beyond documentary was originally released on vhs in 1984. it was eventually re-released on dvd in the 90s. whoever produced the dvd duped the video from the vhs tape (or something equally as crappy) instead of the original film, so the quality was extremely poor. i've seen it & it looks/sounds worse than some bootlegs.

i don't remember if the dvd i saw was in the late 90s or maybe it was as late as 2001. if there was a 3rd release of f&b, i know nothing about that dvd. i'd like to see it.

Wasn't that sold on exclusively on BT for a brief time around 2002 or so? I can't remember the exact time, but I thought it was after 2001.

There were quality issues with that DVD that was sold through Journeyswag. I don't know anything about Steve's involvement in pulling it, in fact I've never heard that allegation before, but I do know that the DVDs that were sent to fill preorders were a huge subject of controversy on BT due to bad quality.

This is probably just another case of everything that isn't good involving Journey having to be Steve's fault.
