Hell yes, I'd be there! :D :D :D

All he would have to do is stand there and smile that incredible smile, some waving, some butt shots. OHHHHHHH YESSSSSSSSSS I would be there.

And to think I respect this man for his integrity, intelligence and ability.

If DLR and EVH can bury the hatchet and get back onstage..anything is possible.

Journey is over, people. The longer they drag it out, the lower they go.. Think about it.

I agree Brian.

Not sure if it was the f-bomb or the VH slam but that's the first delete I've seen.

You don't like Van Halen but you're a Journey fan? That's a first for me.

I LOVE VH. However, I do not compare VH and their stupid shit with Journey and their stupid shit. It's all stupid shit. But different. Get what I'm saying?

I think I get it.

The Journey train derailed years ago, I'm kind of surprised they're still chuggin at all.

VH still has a shot of ending "somewhat" well (they made it into the RocknRoll HOF before it was too late).

I can understand why someone would not want to see Steve Perry lip-synching. However, I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around someone turning down "The Voice" for Arnel. :?

Would I pay to see Steve Perry lip-synch a concert? HECK YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!! No doubt about it! For the chance to see him live and onstage with Journey? Bring it on!!!

I agree with everyone who has said that Perry would NEVER do such a thing... but that's not the point! The point is getting to see him perform and I'd be all over it! 8)

I think there are those who would just prefer a live singer, regardless of who it is.

Not me. Heck, they might as well play tape of Perry singing with Arnel on stage at this point. Can you dig it? HA! I'll never buy another ticket to a show... let alone 6 or 8. F that!

I don't think Mr.Perry would stoop that low. He does have more integrity than that.

But, there will be some who just want to go see it because they THINK he will sing like he did 30 years ago.

Ha ha, that was hilarious. Female backup singers would surely be like holding up a giant sign: "Stick a fork in us, we're done!"

Why, exactly?

Journey as a group and SP Solo have used them in the past... :?

I see Journey as a rock band along the lines of Aerosmith and Foreigner. In this case a five piece unit.

Using backup singers (male or female) is a Vegas type show to me (or Clay Aiken show). Not that they'd be far from it if they did what's proffered in this poll.

Would NS & JC do it? If SP said yes, Arnel's out the door. We can all agree on that. Will this ever happen? Of course not.

Both Pink Floyd & Roger Waters have used female back up singers to great effect. One of them even posts on this very board.

if he cant sing the songs like the old days... I would rather hear accustic journey with Perry... in an intimate venue. Then its no big deal if he cant hit the high notes and they also get to be creative in how the songs are done. Like they did with Liberty and TBF back in the under the radar tour.

Not at all. I'm sure there are a "few" here that might actually think he would sound like he did 30 years ago, but I'm thinking the majority are more realistic than that.
