In the end, all the things I thought were important 7 years ago quickly turned out to be not so important, and other things had to take their place in order to make things work. A guy has to learn when the grass is green enough on his own side of the fence and quit wondering what it's like on the other side. We don't have the greatest amount of things in common, and we have totally different temperaments, but she is completely loyal, loves me unconditionally, is a great mom, and still blushes when I smile at her like it was our first date. Can't trade that for all the tea in China!

Now this is a very wise man!!!

Thanks! Of course the name is a take-off on Don Dokken, and has become my humorous alter-ego... haha! No, haven't been in a real band for many, many years, but for humor purposes, I use the name Rip Rokken whenever I sing Dokken songs. I came up with the name probably about 9 or 10 years ago as a joke, and used it as an AIM screen name for a while. By the way, to clear up any misconceptions that the avatar I use is me, it's actually a funny shot of Don posing with a fan that I found somewhere. When I finally started posting on message boards a few months back, I used my menial graphics abilities to fashion the logo using Windows Paint.

LOL -- Believe it or not, she was a little shorter than me. A friend snapped another shot where we were standing side-by-side, but it didn't turn out very well. I'm 5' 10".

Ok, here ya go -- I finally got these scanned. That scanner I borrowed was crap, and I cleaned it off with Windex but it still looks like there is dust on the pics, and the color sucks. Hmm... Oh, well... There were several I liked, but am just posting a few. Not too horribly Olan Millsy... Unfotunately, the Queensryche pendant is obscured in all of these... haha!

Hey, thanks! Here's a funny story about the difference in the way she and I think. She dragged me into doing these, promising to pay for them herself (hey, trust me, I pay for ENOUGH... ) So anyway, we are looking thru the proofs and she picks way more than she originally said she would. Ok, thats was predicted... But then I decide I want a few for myself whilst I can still get them for $5 a sheet.

So I pick out three full sheets for my own, give her a $20, and tell her to keep the change. So anyway, three full weeks pass, and we finally get them back. The first thing I do is try to separate my 3 sheets from the rest, and she starts balking and trying to carve them up with some scissors. I explain very simply and logically how I paid (extra) for 3 sheets of pics, and I just want the 3 sheets that I ordered. Then she proceeds to tell me why that isn't fair... haha! So I have to trade her some of mine for some of hers... well, ok.

Ever one step ahead, I knew what was going to happen... She was going to give away every single one of hers, giving one of each pose to everyone she knows, and when she ran dry, she'd start hunting up my stash. So last night, she tells me my mother is coming over to get some pictures, and it turns out she's offered her some of mine. So I have to give my mother 1 of each pose, then try to hide the rest away. By this time my wife seems royally perturbed that I haven't sent out any of mine at all, but rather am just hoarding them... I finally took the last few I had up to my office and scanned them quickly while I still had the chance. I wouldn't be surprised if I find them gone from my desk tomorrow so she can give them all to her co-workers, or someone else she barely knows... haha!

Ahhhhhhh....... It's Christmastime in the Rokken household!
