Rock on! I had that cover when it first came out. I lost that copy long ago, but it was a cassette anyway.

not sure.. i think it was just a bad idea.. the retailers shipped them back.. the record company GLUED on another cover.. and shipped it back out.. fans steamed off the new cover to have the old one back.. no one calls it the Yesterday and Today album though.. thats pretty crazy for '65 though..

Not necessarily cool but Blind Faith's cover is another controversial one.

Another, what were they thinking? Edited cover posted (we don't need this thread closed).

Btw,great to see you posting again Susie,it's been some time!
How are you?Any gigs coming up until the end of the year?

Hey laura, yes I feel a little better able to cope now, thank you. :)
We are doing our 80's show regularly - we work two or three nights a week and have gigs 22, 23, 24, 29 and 31 December!
Our Agent hasn't sent our contracts for January yet but we have 7 in the diary so far, apparently.
Now working on a jazz show - an hour or so of classy standards. I have a few songs recorded if you want to hear 'em. :)
We are hoping to get some work with this show once we have it all polished. Just learning lyrics and chords etc at the moment. It's giving me something positive to focus on, and I'm finding it rather theraputic.
Hope you are ok.
And everyone who 'knows' me on here. Happy holidays everyone. :)

There has been some great artwork done for album covers. Tons of good ones. Here are a couple of Kansas that I dig.

I remember hearing a few years ago the Phil Hartman from SNL designed album covers for a few groups, most notably Boston. Does anyone know which ones he did?

Poco's 1978 album Legend
Firesign Theatre's 1980 album Fighting Clowns
Three album covers for the band America
Crosby, Stills & Nash's logo.
Contrary to popular belief Phil Hartman did not create the cover for Steely Dan's 1977 album Aja

'Hatchet has some great covers, done by 4 or 5 different artists.

There is some great Frank Frazetta and Paul Raymond Gregory artwork on their brand spankin' new website. Journey should take notes on what a website in 2007 should look like:

Totally passed by, fuck is everyone so serious on this site. Dean, your cover gets my vote but with an Audi, just slightly behind all the Rush covers which by the way are second to none as is there web site. If I had to vote for one more band , it would be Triumph and the album cover than doubled for a games board.

On through the night was a cool eighties cover as was Hi Infidelity.

Y&T put out some of the coolest covers ever. (Great band too) I loved their Mean Streak album with the steel cobra on it.

I wonder how many people bought Rolling Stone’s “Sticky Fingers” to see what was behind the zipper?
