chynablue wrote:I spent the past 7 hours downloading from Michael's site. Everything went fine until the last 11 seconds, when I got a message that I was out of drive space. I still had 154 meg free, but of coruse Windows didn't care. So I lost the entire download.
This just isn't my day.larryfromnextdoor wrote:mriesenb wrote:Larry, download ALL of the files and the .bat file which combines them (it says something like "unsupported" on the site, but it works.

Probably Windows saved it onto a temp folder on the same drive as where you wanted to save the file onto. When it then starts to copy there isn't enough space since you need to have twice the free space available (in this case 1400 MB).
I have created a multi-volume .rar file, since that might be easier..... I've also created a divx compressed version which is much smaller.
Cheers,
Michael

Kelvinator wrote:Why can't I get ANY of these links to work? I tried the first link that Laura put up, and it did the same thing to me that it did to Rip Rokken...it makes you install an add-on and then goes straight to Media Player and tries to play it, then it says "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The player might not support the file or a required codec might not be installed on your computer." I tried the Badongo thing and I was able to download all the pieces but when I went to merge them, each segment took an hour and a half and then I got an error. I tried Michael's link and it did take a while, and when Media Player came up, you could see the file sitting over in the "Now Playing" pane but nothing was happening. Nothing happened when I selected "Play" manually, either. Is there something special I need to do to play this? So, when that didn't work, I downloaded the first piece of SteveK2007's file, and it took over 2 1/2 hours to download, and then when I tried to play it, I got the sound only, no picture. What in the world do I need to do to watch this thing???????
Kelvinator wrote:Okay, Micahel, now what? I downloaded your file divxinstaller.exe, saved it onto my computer, installed it, then I clicked on your link to the Behind The Music divx.avi file. Still nothing. Is there something else I am supposed to do other than double-click on the file name in order for it to run? It doesn't give me an option to save it or run it, it just tries to stream through Media Player. After sitting there for a couple of hours, the file shows up in the "Now Playing" pane but when I click on "Properties," it says the file is 0.00 length. Any ideas? Thanks for being patient with me...nothing I try seems to work!

Rip Rokken wrote:Got it a few days ago, and it was really great quality. Thanks! I watched it the other night, and the only thing about the special I found to be strange was J.C.'s sobbing spell. It may have been very genuine, but for some reason it just didn't look that way on camera. That was very cool what they did for that kid.

Uh yeah, that's been the topic of some interesting discussions in years past. ALOT of people thought that was the most fake display of emotion they'd ever seen. Look closely. Do ya see tears? Nope, didn't think so!
