That's typical of all New Yorkers, Lula! It's the center of the universe, and no place else matters. That said, I do have to agree that the only great pizza I've had in this country has been in the northeast. In spite of strangegrey's assertion, there is plenty of great pizza to be had in Boston and many other northeastern cities! I will say that even though I consider NYC to be the armpit of America, the pizza is fantastic, if you don't mind being mugged on your way to pick it up

OK, sitting on your ass, on MR of course, you get hungry. Dominospizza.com This is great. Order online. Pick and choose what kind of pizza, how much of each item and topping, chicken extras and pop. Pay by credit card. Then the anal excitement starts.

Pizza tracker. This is the best. You have a bar graph and it tells you Phase 1- preparing your pizza...phase 2, oven time.....phase 3 putting in box and finally delivery. I get off on this. I can sit on my ass and have a pizza delivered to my chair in 20 mins. Fuck I love Dominos.

You have to try this shit.

Deano, your way too easy to please.. I worked at Domino's 20 yrs ago,it sucks! We have 2 awesome pizza places in St Paul.. Savoy's and Italian Pie Shoppe..If you had either one of those you wouldn't care about the online crap anymore. I would rather eat those two and pick it up than have Domino's delivered by a stripper trying to pull my pants down!

Enigma, let's understand one thing here. As California goes, the nation follows. NY ers can brag all they want, but they aren't the center of the universe...they like to think they are, but California is the true leader of this country.

This is what my hubby misses in OC. Maybe I am just not seeing them, but I don't think we have a lot of mom and pop restaurants. We have lots of places to eat, but all the same ones... Chilis, Olive Garden, Claim Jumper, etc. Treetop... introduced us to this great little mom and pop Italian place that was great!!

I grew up in the Valley and it seemed there were more places like that.

That used to be a common occurrence here. Back in 1979 American Airlines moved it's headquarters from New York City to Fort Worth. Along with it came a whole shitload of carpetbagger New Yorkers. They all drove cars like Eldorados and Lincolns. I hired on in '83, and it was common to hear them bitching about how Texas sucked. The food here sucks! The weather sucks! People here can't drive! I gotta go back to New York! Image Of course our retorts were for them to grab an onramp and hit I30 east, you'll be there before you know it. ;)

Nowadays you hear them saying things like, "Went back home over the weekend. Damn I couldn't live back in that circus. It was so fucking cold up there, my nuts still haven't gone back in the sack." And now they're all driving Silverados and F150's and mastering the finer arts of barbecuing while chugging a Miller Lite. They say things like fixin and y'all. It's so much nicer now. Every now and then we'll get a new transfer from New York, and you'll see the original New Yorkers telling them to quit bitching or tear your ass back to NY. What a difference 25 years can make. We love our New Yorkers now. :D
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

Funny thing is Rick, we out here, even further west than you goat ropers, make fun of you guys, and I am sure we are all a bunch of tree huggin faggots here. You just can't win. The only people who get a pass or the Great Plains peeps. And they are so quiet and irrelevant, no one cares about them.

Dude, LA is one of the first towns in this country that is hell bent on doing toilet to tap. They're trying to devise a way to purify sewage water so that it can suplement the tap water supply. Yech!

egh, Chicago pizza aint pizza...that's like a loaf of bread with sauce and cheese on it. There's a subtle difference between excessively abnormal and spectacular....

Afa NY is concerned, any good pizza shop here in the big apple will serve 2 difference styles of pie. Regular round and a Sicilian (square) pizza. The Sicilian is about as thnk as anyone should go. Once you start getting into the rediculousness of Chicago pizza, like I said, it's like a loaf of bread with sauce and cheese. About as normal as a v8 in a ford pinto.

Here, here good Sir!
The place at the end of our street (Italian Father/Daughter) is one of the best places in the city
that we've ever had pizza from.
Small take out place, good deals and it's a good pie every time!

I am upchuck against chain pizza, though I can see the point of your thread Dean'o.
I don't do online pay-for-stuff but if I did, surely I would try take-out food.
