I take umbrage when someone says "a person looks shifty". What does that mean? Say you don't like him, I get that, but don't say a person looks shifty. It makes it seem as if because a person has a permanent tan, that he is now SHIFTY.
Strangegrey...I will say outright that I may have disagreements with you but let's try to debate the musical aspects. If we can stick to that, that would help make this place the calming zen place that Andrew dreams of(NOT)
Now as to this:
I'm not sure what promotion you expect? It's a vegas show....anyone here from Vegas that can attest to no promotion? If I were the backer of the show, I'd have a hard time agreeing to the show not being promoted. I suspect in Vegas, the show is being promoted apropriately. I also question, if no/little promotion is being employed, why they would do that if they are filming the show for a DVD? That seems rediculously reckless to me.

Do you all see what I see? Not a single mention of Journey.
Do a search on their webpage-

Look at that page...again no mention of Journey
What about Independent papers? Every major city has an independent that shows everything and anything that is happening in that city. For San Diego, it's called The Reader. For Las Vegas, it's The Sun.

Hey there is a mention, but it's about Greg Rolie.

So in terms of promotion, It's hard to find.
Let's theorize here. IMHO, I feel that maybe they are doing this to give their fans, the ones that don't mind taking the road less traveled, a chance to hear Journey. It's a small venue, and the ones that find this concert will do what many of us are doing, they will travel from far and near to see what this band has to offer. While the way the bandleaders have treated SA & JSS has polarized the fans, I'm amongst the people that feel that Pineda has a chance here to make All Journey fans, past and present, hear and feel the magic, different but familiar. If it works, that'd be awesome. Even if it doesn't, we'll always have the recordings of the Steve Perry era.
SG...fo reals man...I'll ease up. I can tell that you're knowledgeable and passionate about what you speak of, I hope that you understand that I'm the same way. I don't need anyone telling me what Filipinos do since I do it every day.
To the ones who are making the trip...I WILL SEE YOU THERE.
Thanks Andrew for having a cool forum.
