UGH!! With her bank, you'd think Winehouse could afford to get a little dental work done.

She's about as attractive as a toad... If you kissed her, you'd have to change your screen name to FrogPucker53. :P

These are SO great!

Hillarious, and very informative! Still, it brings the problem to mind... My PhotoBucket account is simply not large enoughto hold the vast wealth of comedic nuggets my mind churns out, nor is the process of pilfering someone else's image and squirreling it away there quick enough to keep a joke fresh for maximum and timely impact. I have little choice but to consider hotlinking the WWW community's contribution to support my valiant efforts at injecting levity into message boards around the world. Think of me as a Robin Hood of the Net... ROKKEN HOOD! :P

She belongs in that Simpsons' dentist's "Book of British Smiles" that Millhouse is subjected to.

She still looks incredible at 48. This is from a few weeks ago. Shitty song, but that's not the point. Good cover, though.

Suzanne was Tane Cain

Postby annie89509 » Sun Feb 03, 2008 7:48 am

I have never heard of Suzanne Hoffs, but I do believe the song was about Jon's ex. I first read about it as speculation and has since come across many clues pointing to this as fact. If anyone is really interested, I'll try to list the clues.

LOL! FrogPucker53... or maybe ProgF... Oh, never mind... :P

The mention of teeth is funny. I think it was Scott Baio who was describing what he looks for in a woman, and every physical aspect he mentioned was Barbie-quality, except that he said he liked teeth that were "F'ed up a little". And it made me think... I kinda do, too! Nothing like Amy Swinehouse, but if they are just a little crooked or something, there's just something insanely sexy about that... Doesn't sound like you agree on that one, though.

Comes down to one thing... watching her in The Bangles' "Walk Like An Egyptian" video. I think black magic or voodoo must have been involved, because it entranced countless young men who saw it, and the spell has so far proven unbreakable.

Well, let's see:

1) the lyrics of the song talks about seeing her " making love on the silver screen "; " you used to wear my ring" --
their marriage broke up between Frontiers-ROR, Tane (yes, she is the daughter of actor Doug McClure (I used to love him on the old TV Western, The Virginian)) moved to France and did soft-porn movies.

2) Jon said the ROR writing sessions with Steve was catartic (sp?) because they were both trying to mend broken hearts at the time.

3) In a couple of video clips that got on youtube (Good Morning America - Jon talked about re=living personal experiences in song then moving on) (the 3part Japanese ROR feature from SF's Hard Rock Cafe - Steve said he and Jon experienced the breakup of female companionship at the same time)

4) In an old promo cd from 1986 (it's transcript on a Journey fan site), Neal/Jon/Steve was on the Bob Coburn Rockline radio show being interviewed about ROR. At one point, the announcer asked about the song Suzanne. Steve said it's about a fantasy girl. "What does she look like?" Steve: "Ooh, blond ... she's got the big tat-tat's ..." Neal was giggling. Laughter. Then Jon interjected this remark: "she's some piece of work .... " To me, having Jon come out of the blue with that is very telling.

Anyway, I believe the song was about Tane.
