Bethel Woods is on the site of the original Woodstock show. That would be pretty damn cool. It's a weekend too. Tough to get to though.

I'll be doing Houston for sure. I'd like to do Chicago but the Cubs are not in town near that time.

I'm also thinking about doing a tour of Seattle, Portland, Concord, Sacramento, Mountain View & end in LA.

Well that just made up my mind for me! Thanks Rick! Is that the old place back around the Towers of America? I can't keep up with all these name changes.

Hmmmm..... SA is closer, but the Houston gig sounds better. The big D is just too damned far away for a Sunday gig. Hmmm..... Any idea how much it would be for three "decent" seats at either of these venues?

It's the Amphitheater at Fair Park. Used to be Starplex. It's over in east Dallas in da hood.

You don't recommend?

I've been there a few times. I went to the Journey/Def Leppard concert there in 06, and I was on the lawn. It was 103 that day and the place had a record crowd. It was fairly miserable. I saw VH there and had really good seats and that wasn't too bad. Was still hot as hell though. I might go if I don't have to sit on the lawn.

OOOHHH, just the heat...heck I'm used to that...I thought you meant it wasn't safe...is it?

It's safe because they have plenty of security. It's at Fair Park and that sits in a pretty rough part of east Dallas. Just use the venue parking and you'll be fine. There are a lot of houses around there that let you pay to park in their yard. I wouldn't trust that.

lol... Maybe I could pick up a Burn game round that time... Now I know EXACTLY where yer talkin bout. Sheesh.... Couldn't they find a bit better venue for that one?

They're definitely touring on the cheap. Almost every show is an amphitheater or pavilion.

Seattle looks like a good possibility for me, probably as close as I'm ever going to get. Perfect weekend too - that's our annual management (bullshit) conference and I'm always looking for a reason to get out of it!

I'll have to start looking into flights and such to get an idea how much this will actually cost me. And I'll move mountains to find a way for my husband to get away too - he's a huge Heart fan - he'd even put up with Journey for this

Inland - about 5 hours east of all those places. Yes - it'd be great to get a bunch together and meet some of you. I wonder when tickets go on sale? That's my first step - if I get the ticket then I have no excuse - I'll have to go!

ha!! so true. but it held for JSS! and it was FABULOUS!!! except for the aisle hitler. he wouldn't let us rush. Neal kept giving us come on down sign. and then was dropping the f-bomb with the arm gestures. yes, we couldn't read his lips from our seats. he was MAD!!!!

I told Neal at the pre-show meet and greet that my seat stunk and he told JT to, "get her a seat!" (well, it was 6th row but that is the back for me!!!) so he knew we were there and I suppose he wondered where we were cuz we are always right in front of him. sorry--we tried, ns. I didn't want to get thrown out so I behaved. not willingly, just so you'll know.

anyway, bets are on for okc holding. i say no.

I'm bummed about the Chicago date--First Midwest Bank Amp. is a terrible venue. It is also quite the hike for me because of traffic. The show is on a Friday, so it will probably take 2.5-3 hours to get there. I'm not exaggerating, either!

I feel your pain. I live in a shit city for concerts (except country Image ) and have to travel a minimum 2.5-3 hours for a show. The last time I saw a show here was in '04.
