For crying out loud... what are we, chop liver? We never get a full album? They tour the states for their big paydays but when it comes to new material, we get the shit end of the stick? Give me one new song over re-records of the GH's and a DVD concert of the very same! So wrong...

So how are we stateside folks supposed to get ahold of this "bonus" track? Does anyone know if there's an iTunes agreement in the works at all? Or is it strictly a walmart deal now and forever?

Didn't know chopped liver could be so whiny. :D
You're GETTING the full album, and a DVD to boot.

The "extra track" can be treated as merely the best of the dregs that didn't make the album cut.
Other countries may get neither the bonus track nor the GH disc in the bundle.

I'm pretty sure you'll be able to get it for free any number of places. Probably before the "release date." Geniuses, those label guys, all of 'em.

Europe get a poxy bonus song, that is gonna be easily available, basically cause its gonna be plastered all over the freakin net, and the US get an exclusive dvd, and some of the american public are whinging? WTF. I know what i would rather have. You know, some euro fans may have to go out and buy a new multi region dvd player, just to be able to play this new dvd if they can get hold of it. You think you got the crap part of the deal? Yeah, whatever.

I'm beyond over the GH's revisited again and again and again. I'm only interested in new music and even though there's 11 tracks on this new album, as far as I'm concerned, one of them is a knockoff, so I only count 10.

I could care less about the DVD of the GH's or the GH's re-records. The samples I heard of the re-records pale in comparison to the originals. They sound cold, lifeless and by the numbers. The performances are uninspired and heartless from the entire band. If I buy the album from walmart, I'd use them both as catch toys for my dog and keep the new stuff.

If the band has an extra new track to put out, I don't think I'm out of line to expect a little fair play for us state side die hards who have been their bread and butter all these years.

So when I whine, wech and wykked, I do it for a damn good reason.  8)

PS: Just because I whine about being short changed on our side of the pond doesn't mean you weren't short changed on yours. My point is, fair play across the freaking board. Can I get an amen brothers??

I understand what you are sayin to an extent.
I too, couldn't give a shit about the g.hits being re done, but still believe that a live dvd is far superior to one damned track that is gonna be easily and readily available on the net. The dvd won't be half as easy to find.
If these dumbasses got their act together they should just give everyone the same damned deal, and stop all this piss ass crap year in year out.

Everyone should get the same deal. But I really don't care about a DVD of the band with yet another singer singing Perry's songs. If they were performing a concert's worth of post Perry songs, I could see the attraction.

The only DVD concert footage containing the GH's I'll be interested in is the day the band finally cracks open the video vaults and releases performances from their heyday with Perry.

The international release of TBF had "I Can See it In Your Eyes."
The original US version of Arrival initially didn't include "To Be Alive Again", that was to be the Japan bonus track if I'm not mistaken.
Generations, which only had a handful of strong tracks, gave away "Never Too Late" to foreign distributors.

It is worth pointing out, however, that all of the above bonus tracks eventually found their way onto the domestic cd release.
