what's really embarrassing is going to see them live & running into liz cain, who's there with her kids & neal's kids. she's looking around me like, "ok, what kid did you have to bring?" then realizing i'm there because *I* want to see the show.

You know what happened? Journey split up just before I was old enough to go to concerts, and because of that, I fell into a bad spell of liking crap. I blame Journey.

(yeah I know "MmmBop" was WAY after that, but by then, journey broke up twice and I was still suffering the effects).

You creep. I knew you were gonna show up and out me.
It's Journey's fault for breaking up right after it took me a like a week to learn the lyrics to "Raised on Radio".
By 1989 there barely any halfway decent music around for 13 year olds.

Never! They were so fun to listen to back then - I followed some of the links and the music was good! I expected it to sound corny after all these years and it doesn't.

Paul was my favorite! : D

All the boys at my elementary school hated nkotb so much they used to tease us girls and say "Eeew, you like the OLD kids on the block!" Why it pissed us off to hear them be called "old" I'll never know. *sigh*

For the record, I was between the ages of 4-6.

I remember that was right around the time the Batman movie came out, so I always transpose his face with the Joker's and vice versa.

Yes he's one of my secret faves.
But I can handle all the piss taking.
He has a good voice and shouldn't be mocked just because of his hair.
