until 2003 Augeri was great at the legacy sound they were looking for... remember they were say in the BTM Steve Perry with a perm... i mean how close to legacy sound can you get.

Liked Augeri and like him to this day. Arnel however has proven to be superior in this regard. Arney for sure with SA a close second.

I voted for Arnel. While I liked Augeri, more and more I started to feel his vocals were thin and lacked the power associated w/ Journey.
JSS certainly had the power, but looking back and from a few recent listens to JSS fronted Journey I can see why Neal & Jon moved on.
Arnel is just going to get better and I am pretty impressed already.
