Listen fuckwad...I can assure you that my thoughts and opinions have absolutely NOTHING to do with any "media smeer job", as you put it! I'm a fucking citizen of this country, like you presumably are, and think the guy is a fucking moron! The media doesn't shape my beliefs on ANYTHING, and never has! If you think this jackass is some great president, more power to you! We'll agree to disagree. I am supremely confident that historians, who are a whole lot more knowledgeable on presidential administrations, than either you or I will ever be, will agree more with my stance than they will with yours!

I'm one of these guys who is a bit old-fashioned, in the respect that I think politicians should be a bit more eloquent than the average 6th grader! Most of us just like to believe that the president of the free world is more intelligent than we are, and in Bush's case, let's just say that the guy falls WOEFULLY short, in the obvious intelligence department. I know that some Bush supporters don't believe their lying ears, and think this guy is Einstein, outside of the media spotlight. I'm simply not drinking that Kool-Aid. I won't even get into the guy's policies and decision making, because I think just on the platform of Phonics, the guy shouldn't be running a local bank...let alone the fucking country! We have a mayor in Boston, who like Bush, can't put an English sentence together! I'm tempted to run against the dope, just on the platform of vocabulary

The libs said the same thing about Reagan. They were wrong. Now don't get me wrong Bush IS NO REAGAN. But I'm willing to bet if the situation in Iraq keeps improving and they are stabilized 15 or 20 years from now. Bush will be looked at very favorably.

Lighten up francis. I won't even begin to debate you on your many falshoods above because that might actually legitimize your blabbering.

I didn't mean to start such a frenzy. I was just venting my frustration at a situation that happened with my son. The friend he stayed with in Japan said that the police are on high alert for Americans that seem out of place anywhere in Tokyo. Clearly that is why my son was stopped. Please feel free to lock or delete this thread.

Maybe your son should call the ACLU and tell them he's being discriminated against and racially profiled. :D

yeah...you know...you're right.

The Red Sox suck.

It sure is easy for you to be such a "tough guy" hiding behind your keypad isn't it? Makes you feel "like a man" I bet.

Incidentally, such "sophmoric", immature, idiotic language / cussing speaks volumes to your personality and very likely to your intellect. It doesn't phase or intimidate me or anybody else here in the least. You're not that tough. In fact, it simply embarasses me that I share the same country of origin with ignoramuses such as yourself. Really sad.

What is it about you "libs" in NE?...geez.

People who like REALITY.

Plenty of reason not to like the President...but you and your ilk are so rabid about the whole thing it is almost a mental disease...I mean you think all things bad begin and end with George W. Bush.

Besides, the issue illustrated didn't have ONE THING to do with George W. Bush, it had to do with stupidity on the part of kid in a foreign country and his mommy blaming it on Bush to absolve her child of being an idiot. Which is typically liberal: it's all someone else's fault.

And who, as an aggregate, shapes and molds the accepted conventional wisdom of this country's history?
The claims by those who called Reagan on his wrongdoings back then, are no less valid today – despite the best “morning in America” revisionist PR gloss.

Means nothing to me. The American people are not the best and brightest. Quite the opposite, in fact.
Out of the few who do vote, most can't even name the three branches of government.

I already fixed it, but the rampant mendacity from your side cannot be stressed enough, so it's worth repeating.

Escape Artist wrote:From Audacity of Hope: 'I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.'

WTF?

The above quote wasn't even talking about "Muslims," it was talking about acts of violence perpetrated on Arab-Americans in the wake of 9-11.
Here's the real unaltered Obama quote:

"In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific reassurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."

It was out of line trying to link Obama that way. I don't like Obama mind you, but fair is fair and right is right...Even if he has said Muslims, the point is valid. Not all Muslims, and especially those in the US want us dead, and if hate and prejudice are used to beat the innocent down, I would would hope ALL politicians, no matter their party affiliation, would stand with people victimized by hate and prejudice.

You brought up the Downing Street Memo once before. Didn't they find out that the supposed "originals" were destroyed and the only copies left were something typed up by a reporter? If so, I'm not sure the veracity of that document could even be trusted.

I still remember the political cartoons in the papers from the week that story came out. One had Carter standing next to three graphs. One had inflation up, one had GDP down and the third chart was titled Bunny attacks and had a line going up over ther top of the chart. One of the dumbest stories ever told by a politician , that along with the cardigans, just cemented a picture in peoples heads of a complete bozo. Since then only Dukakis has come close to looking that stupid with his Army tank incident.
