No contest, dude.

And get over your hatred of the new incarnation of Journey. They will be around for a long, long time.

I don't pretend to be an expert on any of this (US/European/Asian audiences), but Journey is/was touring as a package for the last few tours, so I don't think numbers can actually be compared in this case. Toto (at least when I saw them) toured by themselves.

This is beginning to sound like a bunch of kids in a school yard boasting about how their dad is bigger than another kid's dad. :roll: My likes and dislikes have absolutely zero to do with a band's draw. 8)

I am not to blame or taking part in this here. Simply stating that I dispute the OPINIONS that are being put forth regarding popularity outside the USA.

I'll "get over" nothing. I can like or dislike whomever I choose. Your opinion means squat to me regarding that.

You are incorrect on your "numbers" you throw out regarding the venue sizes. Sorry, but you are.

Whatever you say, buttercup. I can't tell you what I love to eat on a family-oriented board like this, though.

Heart was playing fests/fairs last year and Cheap Trick has been doing that for a decade. Journey is the draw on this tour.

Deb, please call me when the shuttle lands.

I LOVE heart and the Trick, but if you think that either of those bands is responsible for more than 10% of the net ticket sales, you're smoking the good stuff.

Lets put it this way.....It only says JOURNEY on the tickets. Heart is great, but people aren't flocking to see Zeppelin/Who covers.

Just based my opinion on the reviews folks, haven't see one bad one yet for Heart on this tour.

Nope, and you won't. Ann is the best.

But you won't find a bad Journey one, either.

Yeah, but the poor review didn't seem to really be based on Journey's actual performance but other factors.

I want the arguments to be correct where Journey is concerned, but they aren't. They weren't playing 20,000 seat venues in Europe. More like 2500 - 5000 seaters from the ones I could get info on.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

Speaking of gay...does anyone realize right now that "The Regeneration Tour" is happening?

* A Flock Of Seagulls
* ABC
* Belinda Carlisle
* Naked Eyes
* The Human League

Why didn't anyone tell me this? Screw Journey and Heart. I'd fly 10,000 miles to see those supergroups together. :roll:

You can just feel the gayness emanating from those bands from halfway across the world. If Boy George could have made it (as was originally planned), that would have been the topper.

Either variation could happily crush my temples with her earmuffs. I prefer Joan Jett, though. I like the badass women rockers.

Yeah, because of Ronnie James Dio, Judas Priest, Riot, Def Leppard, and Iron Maiden. Not those ultra-fruity gay Britpop bands. Wretched.

I've been told many times before that I'm a dyke...although I have this dorky middle-aged-guy ponytail now, which will look terrible if/when I start losing my hair.

And I barely have a penis.
