My screen name comes from the song "Conversation Piece" by one of my favorite bands, Savatage, from their "Edge of Thorns" album (pictured below). I also thought it made sense since we're here to have conversations. At the time I made the name up, about eight years ago, I don't think I had the option to use the entire title, hence the abbreviated "pc" at the end, which some have mistakenly taken for "P.C." as in a computer or "politically correct", which I am obviously not.

There are 3 reasons why I picked mine.....

1. I am a nocturnal by nature
2. I've always had a fascination with the moon
3. It's got a hippie feel to it

Great seeing ya back here ProgRocker! :)

This time, how about your permanent username, that which you have most likely contemplated upon lol with effecting a striking impact--and a lasting imprint--in mind?

To start with...

About five options I've initially successively thought of were either taken or uncomfortably close to at least one of those taken. Considered, and got through with, yet another,"Etcetera," which, regardless, is as relevant as the previous ones I would have adopted, albeit in a different aspect--and that's for the miscellany that I am lol.

The floor is yours :) .

It is tradition for the best man and bridesmaid to have a fling.

'cause my name's Rick. Lots of people like to put a P in front of it.

Started as Shoot 'em up. Used to be a gamer.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

Have mistaken it indeed for "personal computer"...so interpretations like "conversation through a pc" and "a pc for conversation."

My original name - going back to the good old "VH1" days - was "sngrchk" - which is, "singer chick" - if it were to appear on a car license plate.
(I always wanted a personalized plate...sigh....)

So, I changed it to "TRAGChick" - after marrying Mr. Tragianese - and "morphing" into a TRAG Lead Singer.

Was originally YoungJRNYfan. I never understood this board before and got fired up one time after Deano told me to go fuck myself for no apparent reason. I flew off the handle and started messing with people out of entertainment. That is NOT me, what-so-ever ..ask the people who have met me!

So I said I would leave and not return and would only return if JSS left the band just because I was being crude and immature. JSS was gone so I was back.. As YoungJRNY this time. YoungJRNY because I wanted to wipe that rude YoungJRNY fan away since it's not how I roll, and because I'm the youngest Journey fan I knew at the time. I was 18, now 20. (Since then the "YoungJRNYfans'"started rising, HAHA!)

I love this board and proud to say I am an MR'er. Might not be as crazy, but I'm a proud MR'er lol. Lets hear some more.

PS- PROG, you pussied out on us in CLEVE!!!! what's the deal?!?!?

ProgRocker53 wrote:I was NealSchonFan53 for like a year and had been going through a new username every week for a month or so trying to find one I liked.

I was on a huge progressive rock kick when I put this name down (still am, as always, of course) and figured it'd be a good way to automatically show people where my musical tastes are inclined. Also, 53 is my number for everything, having been my lifetime football jersey.

I had went to go change my username to one of my many nicknames one day, having gotten tired of ProgRocker53 after just a week. Unfortunately that was in the midst of the identity scandals and the usernames were frozen at that point, and it was stuck.

Soon thereafter I was posting, interacting, and engaging tenfold more than before.... and I actually became a bit well-known around here. I couldn't change it then, lest I leave behind my many new nicknames (Proggie, Proggletits, etc.) and my new MR identity.

Cool!...Plus a bit of history on the side for a Johnny-come-lately like yours truly (that name/identity mess intrigues me.) :D
