First of all, I was at the Hempstead show and there was almost 5000 people there, so don't comment on things you know nothing about!!!
Second, the last time they played BB Kings in NYC, it was sold out and they turned away 200 poeple, they are playing there again on Nov 4th, you better get yout ticket fast.
But you are right about the LI live music scene, it sucks, that's why EVOLUTION plays all over the country, they ARE the best Journey tribute show in the country. Just ask any promoter or talent buyer.........
That's not the point. The fact that they played at Echo park was the point...not whether or not they drew. Personally, I didn't think echo park could actually hold more than say 74 people...and I doubt Evolution can draw 500 all on their own. but if you say there was 500 people there, who am I to argue....perhaps they did.
The point I was making is that here on LI, the tribute scene is fucked...it had it's last gasp around 2004 or so....There might be a market in other parts of the country....but here on Long Island, there's really no places to play, no bands to see, 1-2 extremely shitty rock radio stations.....and the tribute band scene is actually worse than all of that combined.
