Even at that rate, Journey was more prolific than some of their 80's peers who have flat out given up on new stuff.
Still, nothing like a hit record to light a creative fire under their asses.
To think after 'Arrival' flopped, Cain mentioned/half-threatened only to release mini-EPs from here foreward.

You make a good point. Think of Foreigner as one example. I love that band a bunch, but they refuse to do a completely new album.

It's a tight period right now for me (and may others too...) but hopefully things will improve in the new year. So many things I want to do...MRF2 at the top of the list :)

I think everyone needs to kick back, relax, light up a bong, order a pizza, and get a blowjob.

Well I just had pizza, and I'm very relaxed. Of the other two, I know one won't happen and I'm not holding my breath for the other.

God, I hope I dont come off as a dick with this comment because I have no ill will whatsoever with it but Arnels homesickness issues have to bring to light why a bandmate from another country can sometimes have a bunch of strings attached. Its hard to leave the family behind and his family cant legally stay in the US, unless they apply for citizenship and it doesnt sound like they wanna do that. They feel worlds apart which makes it even tougher. When he gets back over there what happens if he decides hes too happy to come back, even if it means losing his dream gig??? Hell, the money hes already made would stretch for a few years over there. Just a thought....

Maybe he will feel less homesick when they are in Asia?
OK cancellations suck, but I don't see him being given a break as a bad thing.
I see it as the Band and Management acknowledging that a lead singer of Journey needs vocal rest if he is not going to ruin his instrument.
And that has to be a good thing. It means they have actually learned from their mistakes.

Until vocal chords etc can be replaced like a guitar string, a drumstick or a sax reed, a singer needs rest.

Wow, good news indeed. I hope they lay off the touring just a bit. It'd be a shame to fry such a great singer.
They need to space out the dates and allow EVERYONE time to come home. Jeez, tour 3 weeks on, one off.
They got the dough.

I thought of the same thing. The guy was able to send his younger brother through college prior to his joining Journey. So he must be doing well financially and living a good life - stressfree life - no external negative vibe from anywhere.
