What a lot of people don't know is that Penn State lost Sean Lee, the best linebacker in the country, to a pre-season injury. Additionally, they had their top 2 defensive lineman kicked off of the team and lost 2 others to injury!!! This team would have been scary good had it not been for thug-like behavior and a few injuries.

At least at Penn State, the inmates are kicked OFF the team.

I was glad Paterno kept Scirotto on the team. 2 guys started some shit with him and his girlfriend and called her some horrible names. He's a little guy who's a defensive back. These 2 shit-talkers didn't realize he was on the football team. He tried to be nice but it didn't work so he went and grabbed one of the lineman, they kicked the dude's door in and tuned them something fierce. Paterno made the whole team pay by cleaning the garbage out of the stands for a few weeks and kept him on board. 8)

However, Joe Pa said they would clean the stands the entire year. He then said after 2 weeks, "fuck this, they learned their lesson."

Michigan's final drive, fueled by a Steve Breaston kick return to midfield, started with an apparent interception that was later reviewed to be out of bounds. The Wolverines called timeout after a Henne pass completion with the clock stopped at :28. Michigan head coach Lloyd Carr called the officials over, and after a protest by Carr and a long conference, the officials reset the game clock to 0:30. Those extra two seconds would turn out to impact the outcome of the game. Six plays later, with 0:01 on the clock, Michigan would score the game-winning touchdown on a Henne pass to Mario Manningham.

Penn State intercepted the ball. The game should have been over. They blew an easy call, and then put 2 seconds back on the clock after Carr bitched and moaned...allowing one more play. . Replays also confirmed that this was in error!!! They got screwed 3 times. It was a hose job, plain and simple.

There were also 2 clips, one of them RIGHT in front of a Refigan, that went uncalled on Breaston's fatefull final return. There is the adage that you can call holding on every play, but a clip is a flat out clip.

Mike Hart also put a ball on the carpet that Dan Connor recovered and he was bogusly ruled down and the play wasn't even REVIEWED! Of course this is before the coaches were allowed a challenge per half.

This year will the be the collection of 9 games worth of dues out of Michigan's ass.

I'm just sad that weasel Carr isn't around to take the woodshed beating that SHOULD be doled out.

Love that Fllllloyd was allowed to give an ON-FIELD speech that rivaled the Gettysburg address in length in changing the clock back, while earlier in the game Penn State got a sideline warning flag thrown for Tom Bradley, who was pointing to where the ballcarrier was tackled, being "too near" the field when the zebra with Maize and Blue stripes bumped into him in his zeal to move the downed football 2 yards further upfield than the tackle point.

I'll never forget Bradley visibly mouthing the scream "NICE SPOT!!!!" at the refigan's back after the flag

My only reservation is that PSU might be looking ahead to Ohio state the following week. Joe better make sure that they're ready for this game. I'd be calling timeouts with a minute left up 40 if it meant another score. Bury these motherfuckers.

Pff.

Why not, Fllllloyd did that in 2000 up by 20 down at the goaline with the game clock running out he dialed up a power run into the endzone rather than take the knee (and let's not forget, that was during Penn State's "Dark Era" so as a Michigan poster above suggested should be the case this week, the loss really shouldn't count).

Minny's good, I figured it wouldn't take them long to get the show back on the road.
