I have a friend who met his wife on match.com. They were both married before. They are really happy, and have a beautiful little girl now.

It does sound scary.....does anyone know anyone who has had a GOOD experience with this sort of thing?

My wife and I met through a personals site ( matchmaker.com ) and we have happily married for three years with a daughter due any time now. IT is a crap shoot as i met my first wife through there and boy that was a mistake. I have seen it work and it not work

I met my 2nd (current) husband through a personal ad (E-Harmony didn't exist back then  ). A friend and I placed the ad together as kind of a joke - but she was looking for perfection and I just wanted someone to have fun with! She ended up with nothing (well, she had an affair with her married first cousin a couple of years later  and I think she ended up with him). I, on the other hand, ended up with - well - my husband! Not perfection by any means, but it's been almost 19 years, so I guess it worked out OK :) . He never has come through on his 'likes long walks in the moonlight' promise - I'm lucky if I can get him to walk around the block with me & the dogs  .

But does he like pina coladas?
Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!

My neighbor met his third and fourth wife through sites like this. Second wife gave him crabs, the third wife was schitzo and was like having five different wives, from june cleaver to sybil.

My brothers cousins friends sister put her info on this site and stated she looked most like Angelina Jolie. (Judas, she looks more like rIKkI lAKE IN THE 1980'S. if even that good) First date lasted 4 hours. I think the guy was being polite or was in shock.
