Yep!! That's mine!!!
I look forward to TBS's 24 hours of A Christmas Story every year.
I LOVE that flick and I never get tired of it. But I don't watch it until December.
That's a December only treat!!!

Second favorite is "Mickey's Christmas Carol" which I loved as a kid and FINALLY (just this week) found it on dvd.

After watching this movie tons of times I finally bought "A Christmas Story" DVD yesterday. I remember seeing it at the theater when it came out and thought it was a cute movie, but now it is like a cult classic (my husband hates the movie so my youngest and I can watch the DVD when he's not around). I saw something briefly on t.v. the other day about fans of the movie visiting the actual house and town - I think the homeowner is a fan, too and opens his house to tour.
Another cute DVD my 7 yr old loves is "A Very Merry Christmas" sing a long songs with old black & white cartoons, and Mickey Mouse, Huey, Lewey and Dewey.

That's only as of two years ago. Before that the house was not accessible. A fan of the movie bought it, restored it, and redid the inside to match what you see in the movie, then they opened it to the public. 8) I would so love to see it one day. Hell, we all shoudl have done THAT while we were in Cleveland!!

Is the house in Cleveland? I love seeing real places from movies...the apartment building from Karate Kid is nearby and when we were in Vermont 18 yrs ago we saw a lot of the Baby Boom scenery and we were in the country store. It's funny when I'm watching t.v. and see something familar, like about 2 weeks ago when I was watching a Desperate Housewives re-run and saw the little grocery store I drive by every day.

Yeah. They used it for exterior shots only. Wikipedia has an article titled "A Christmas Story House" that talks about it, what was shot where, etc. Its pretty interesting. 8)

Mine was always the "Frosty the Snowman" video. That's one of my favorite Christmas memories. That and "How the Grinch stole Christmas". Both are timeless classics!
