I also love Billy Joel ,but I think Elton's percussion is excellent. They are coming to Cincinnati, but so is Louisville,Dayton, Indy, Columbus. The low ticket is 55.00 and top 180.00.

Well worth it. Even though modern day EJ sucks, his classics are as good as anyone's. 180 for a top ticket. I would go. These are two of the best piano/singer/songwriters ever.
i wont pay 180 to see anyone unless its front row and unlimited drinks, and Journey and Glen fuckin Campbell

What if it was Tito getting porked by a Triceratops??
id pay $180 to see Journey and to ge able to get drunk in that shit heap he drives, get fucked up with Sj and Riannon, and get a shit burger at White Castle.id do that, than to pay to see fag Elton John, ive already saw him. His flaming about how much he loves his man just grossed me out.At least Friga keeps it in the closet were it belongs

You seriously don't think that I thought that you thought that I thought that you were serious do you? If you think you could drink me under the table, call Dan and ask him what he thinks! I'd definitely give you a fine run for the money. I can outlast the best of them (not that I think that's necessarily a good thing!). We could have a drink-off and call it the "Clash of the Titans"! Let me know the time and place. 8)

We can meet up at Granny's crib. She has a nice house, has clean sheets on good beds, and cooks for me too. I will get her on the horn and tell her.

Haha I think most of the dialogue in this thread would be better suited for an Elton John or Leonard Friga or BobbyInTN thread rather than a Billy Joel one.

Speaking of whom, I have this raging crush on Alexa Ray Joel. Talent and cuteness, yooow

True. At the theatre, it was gay men and straight women with friends, because their boyfriends or husbands wouldn't come. There's only two uncomortable scenes (no pun intended). Just close your eyes and your manhood won't be threatened.

"He uses his ass as a fuckin meat locker."

Now there's a pick up line for you - "Excuse me, I hope you don't mind my asking this, but... well, I really hate seeing movies by myself, and I've heard really good things about 'Brokeback Mountain', but it's not the sort of movie I can take my buddies to. I don't suppose you'd care to go with me?"

been a diehard Billy Joel fan my whole life...my first concert was the Storm Front tour. I was nine.

Wish he'd put out some new music though.

The thing I love about Billy is the quality of his non-hits. Some of them have become slightly more well-known because he's played them live sporadically, but you could make an album of 'other songs' that would kick just about anyone else's "hits" album. "Miami 2017," "Summer Highland Falls," "Travelin' Prayer," "Famous Last Words," "Big Man On Mullberry Street," "All For Leyna"...christ.

He's been playing the same hits for 15 years....I almost wish he'd do a mid-sized theater tour playing album cuts and such for the diehards. I don't know if he's just doing it for the money now (why would he need any more?), but I think he'd have a pretty good time taking his band out and playing whatever he wanted wihtout having to play "Piano Man" again.

Agree , great musician. The first two albums I owned as a kid were Billy Joels Songs From the Attic and Journey's Escape. I went for about four years owning nothing else, and felt that I had plenty to listen to....

......thanks to Wombats advertisements and reviews I buy about 2 CDs a week now, my how have times changed.

I used to just like a couple of songs from Billy Joel before I met my ex. She is the biggest Billy Joel fan I know! She forced me to listen to his other songs, besides Piano Man, Uptown Girl, and We Didn't Start the Fire. After awhile, Joel's music grew on me and now I'm probably close to being as big of a fan as she is. Of course, after we had broken up (we still remained friends,) her parents had gotten her tickets to see Billy Joel in Charlottesville, VA. She didn't know who she was going to take and I kept dropping hints about how I would love to go, but she wind up taking her brother. I was kind of pissed off, because she knew how much of a Billy Joel fan I had become.

Anyways, now that I have other girls interested in me and our breakup/get back together/breakup again/ relationship for the most part is over, she now tells me that she should have taken me to see Billy Joel and that she wants me back! Why do women screw with your head?

So now, I'm having to make some major cutbacks to save money, but if Billy Joel ever comes within decent driving range, I would really consider purchasing some tickets! Maybe he'll come to Charlotte, NC soon?

It sounds like theres a simple solution to this dude. If she wants you back she must send you to a Billy Joel concert to the place of your choosing AND pay. After you see the concert, if you want her back, thats great and everybodys happy. If you dont, after the concert just run like hell , change your phone number, (maybe even move in with another woman). When the guilt sets in sit back, drink some Captain Jack :D and think that people do far much worse things to their lovers than you did here.. the guilt will pass and you will have seen Billy J :D

I wont charge you for this advice, but if I ever run into you at a Journey gig, I'll have a budweiser.
