thanks deb for posting the link to the namm vid. very cool! i like that !dea gadget... how neat! }:C)

The MP3 that records your guitar......that was pretty neat!!
Yes....thanks Deb!!! One out of your big three making the clip wasn't bad!!!!
He looked good {minus the jersey}

:D 2 out of 3 were there. Heck, for all we know Perry was wondering the booths incognito in a ball cap as well.  Very cool, 4 of my favorite bassists were there too.

1. Rudy Sarzo
2. Billy Sheehan
3. Marco Mendoza
4. Gary Schutt

I have 4 or 5 Gary schutt videos. Hang tight a day or 2. And 1 of Marco and George but I think it might stink. Eric has a good one of marco at YouTube, chynablue2. I have a couple of Eric and graham Bonnet, tim luce and mario praga. I wish I had a shot of who turned up to see eric. Coolness. Soon, young skywalker, soon. :)

Cool, can always count on you and Cindi. :) Who is George? Is that the dude with Marco in that clip? Yes, I saw that one of Marco that Eric posted, cool!

LOL- George is George Lynch from Dokken fame.

Oh Deb, was Pat from Mr. Big there too?

Oooops, that George?!. Forgive me Fufu and Ripster.

Not sure Melly, I didn't see him in that clip. But Pat seems so easy going anyway, it's the other 3 I'd like to lock in a room until they agreed to re-unite for at least one show. Hey, it worked for Motley Crue.

Yep, that George!

And very true about the other guys! Pat is such an awesome singer too! 8)

You need a walking rock a encyclopedia at NAMM. I had two (Todd & Lenny) with me, and I still managed to stump them both on who Brian Tichey is.

I'm sure I ran into a lot of peeps and didn't even know it. Pam and I were separated a lot but being with her is like being with an encyclopedia too. I was at a meeting in LA when she did the 'pic with Yngwie' thing. I don't think I could have done that. I did catch him shredding at the Marshall booth and I will have that up for viewing at youtube shortly. It didn't even hurt!!!! hehe I just happened upon that but I knew him when I saw him.

I've told this story before but at 2007 NAMM, I say Tommy Lee signing and he kinda look at me and gave me the guy "nod" thing. BUT, I was standing next to the Modern Drummer magazine booth where Ansley Dunbar was standing ALL ALONE so there it was a no brainer for me. yes, I took my pic with AD. Tommy who???

here is Lincoln Brewster at the non-deNAMMinational praise and worship set at the Roland Theater on Sunday morning. Salvador was immediately after and I'll have that up later today too.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOVXRH839wE

I have Gary Schutt's up already. 4 total so far. momflute @youtube And one by Paul Gilbert

just an observation...

with all the cool stuff coming out of the Eric Ragno camp, it is NO doubt that he is 2008 MR keyboard player of the year.

I officially nominate.

2nd anyone??? all in favor??

pardon hijack. I'm uploading Yngwie at NAMM now.

A few friends went this year and I guess it was pretty sad. They really tightened up security and rules. The last 4-5 years, the guy who builds my custom guitar, Neal Moser, would get 20 passes along with his booth. He'd then allow people from our messageboard to get together and they'd all go, but not this year. They didn't even bother getting a booth this year. Neal and his wife did go, but were completely unimpressed with how it was handled. The "fun" aspect of the show was gone...

security was tighter but it was still way fun. I went to about 50% of the NAMM university classes so I suppose it depends on your definition of fun. hehe

here's Salvador at the non - deNAMMinational Sunday afternoon service in the Roland theater.

pardon the JSS BSS. the sistah couldn't stand still

There r others posted of that set too from the other side.

Did ya Josh Ramos cameo in Eric's footage?

I caught Marco and GeorgeLynch but I was too far to get any sound. Should I post just for the eye candy, dokk?

Hey deb!

Gary took us to the Mike Lull bass night at a local restaurant, where his friends Brian Bellar and Joe Travers were playing. I'll upload that for ya. Brian Bellar plays bass on the Gary Schutt song, Road Trip, which also features Neal. (Loss4Words, an instrumental guitar cd available now at garyschutt.com, iTunes and cdbaby.)

LOL, ya, caught that pan over to Josh. Did Rudy play at all? Sarzo's my all-time favorite bassist.....and from all accounts seems to be a very humble/sweet human being. Followed closely by Billy, Marco and Gary. VERY cool that all 4 of them were there! :o

Vocals and bass...........ahhhhh, my two favorite musical instruments. These two could have carried on for another 20 minutes that night as far as I was concerned. :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2VITGGw-jg
